All week I am creating using the Sunny Sentiments cling stamp set. Today I created this card for the TGIF Challenge #340.
I used the mash up of :
Color Challenge – Basic Black, Vanilla, Blackberry Bliss
Sketch Challenge
The three background panels on this card were created by stamping leaves and dots from the Christmas Season stamp set using Blackberry Bliss Ink on Very Vanilla CS.
Here is a full list of supplies that I used. Do you want to get a bunch of these items? Why not sign up to be a demo?

Today’s card was created using the Sunny Sentiments cling stamp set by Stampin’ Up! All of the sentiments in this set are fabulous – but the Birthday one I especially love because “all the best things” leaves this sentiment open to be used with such a wide variety of images – puppies, flowers, cocktails, chocolate, family & friends, and of course the gorgeous mountains.
I paired this sentiment set with the Mountain Air stamps et and Majestic Mountains dies. These long stamps fit perfectly across a card front (both vertical or horizontal) and make for fast but stunning cards.
I stamped the mountains in Smoky Slate and the trees in Just Jade. Then I added some Metallic Mesh Ribbon to fill the space below and some Soft Succulent Ink for the birds in the sky.
The sentiment was heat embossed on Soft Succulent cardstock. Embossing an image always makes it pop for me. I keep my embossing powder out in trays and ready to use – which means it is easy to do, so I emboss a lot more than if I kept them packed away.
You can see all the details of this card in my video below – make sure to subscribe to my channel while you are there.

I am SO EXCITED to be a new member of the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge Design Team! This week’s challenge is an inspiration challenge. I loved the purple, blue and green watercolour look so I was thrilled to spend some time playing in my craft room with water painters.
To create my card I used a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock. I find it to be the perfect paper when you want to create some watercolour art with out the texture of water colour paper.
I started by using blending brushes to apply a soft Highland Heather and Balmy Blue background. Then I used my water painter and some Balmy Blue reinker to splatter blue dots on the cardstock.
Next I added my leaves. I did this by using Highland Heather, Balmy Blue and Evening Evergreen reinkers to create water colours. I then used my water painter to paint my leaf stamps and I then stamped the painted image onto the cardstock. This technique keeps the water on the page to a minimum since I wasn’t actually using water colour paper.
Once that background dried I stamped the deer from Peaceful Deer on to my image using stamped off Soft Suede. Then I coloured him in with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends and added the eye and nose with Light Basic Black Stampin’ Blends. I am not a brave enough watercolourer to paint the deer as well – although I think the look worked well enough.
I finished the card with a 3D Wintry Embossing Folder Background, my current favourite ribbon (White Glittered Organdy) and a sentiment tag from the Stitched So Sweetly dies.
I hope you give painting your solid stamped images a try on the Shimmery Cardstock, it’s a great cheater way of having watercolour skills.

I have been so focused on creating Christmas cards for the rapidly approaching season that I have fallen short on Birthday cards in my stash. Time to refocus. Here is a birthday card I created using the Lighthearted Lines stamp set.
To start I used blending brushes and one of Stampin’ Up!’s awesome masks to create the background. I blended Rich Razzle berry and Misty Moonlight. Then I attached that layer to a piece of Misty Moonlight and attached it all to a Smoky SLate background.
Next, I stamped the sentiment on a large tag from the Tailor Made Tags using Misty Moonlight ink. I also stamped the sentiment a second time using Rich Razzleberry ink and fussy cut the Happy Birthday.
The perfect touch to this card though Is the White Glittered Organdy ribbon that I coloured with the Misty Moonlight Blends. I tied it on using a small piece of Silver twine from the Simply Elegant trim pack.
If you liked this card and want to create similar cards for yourself – check out the details of my Birthday Card Club. Anyone in Canada can join – this is an online card club. I’d love to stamp with you!

I fussy cut Santa so that I could pop him up in front of the tree. I also added some Wink of Stella to the trim of his hat and cuffs so that it would look a bit different than his beard.

This month’s Paper Pumpkin was FABULOUS! It coordinates with the Peaceful Place DSP and I can’t wait to recreate some of these cards using alternate DSP from the pack.
Here is a video of the original cards in the kit. Below you will find many alternative cards. Happy Stamping!
Here are some alternative cards. The first one is a quick card that allows you to get two for one. Simply recereate the snowy card from the kit – but cut your card base in half and trim it down to 3-7/8″ X 5-1/8″ and mount it on a black trim 4″ X 5-1/4″ , then attach it to a Thick Basic White card base 4-1/4″ X 5-1/2″.
The next alternative is similar. Just cutting the card base into even smaller bits. Which actually gives you this cute piece, plus a long strip you’ll see on another of my alternatives below. The background was embossed with the snowflakes from the Wintry 3D embossing folder set.
This card utilizes the gorgeous silver trees from the envelopes as an accent. Don’t be afraid to trim up your envelopes to get some fun Buffalo Check or even just the perfect green accent.
A bit of embossing, a little bit of snowflake stamping and some strategically placed mini glue dots to hold the trees in place. The Buffalo Check strip came from the inside of the fabulous envelopes.
This card uses a leftover strip of card base on a Wintry 3D embossed background. The Shaded Spruce cardstock is such a rich holiday colour!
I hope you have as much fun creating some alternative cards as I have. These are the key items I used to create my alternative cards, (not shown Thick Basic White, Basic Black and Shaded Spruce cardstock.
The refill kit is also now available. Don’t wait – this one is going to go quickly.

I featured the Festive Foliage cling stamp set this weekend during one of my FREE online workshops. This stamp set is not quite a full background – but close enough, so I like to use it with my Stamparatus to ensure a full stamped image.
Here are the three cards I created. I love how one stamp (paired with sentiments from Christmas to Remember) can create 3 very different looking cards.
Embossing and Colouring on Vellum
Blended Background with coloured ink on top
stamped image on edges only and coloured

I adore Sketch Challenges and this one from Freshly Made Sketches (#FMS507) is so cute! I actually created two cards – but one of them is also a fun fold.
The first card I created using this sketch uses a super fun colour combo – the snowflakes are Balmy Blue with Misty Moonlight sponged on the edges. The sentiment is heat embossed onto a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock and the background DSP is from the host reward – Pattern Party DSP. This card just seems so happy!
The second card I created is a fun fold card you can actually see all the details on yesterdays blog post.
