This week I am focusing on the Mountain Air stamp set and the coordinating Majestic Mountains dies. I used blending brushes to create this sunset sky. You can see all the details in the video below.

Since this stamp set does not have any sentiments, you can pair it with anything you’ve got. I used Peaceful Moments. Father’s Day is coming, this would work well with sentiments from Best Year as well.

Biggest Wish – Acetate Transfer Technique

This was created for the TGIF Challenge #318. The challenge was to use Stampin’ Blends. I decided to try out a technique I’ve wanted to try for awhile called Acetate Transfer Technique.

To create this background I scribbled on a piece of acetate (just a piece left over from one of my stamp sets) with a Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend and a Polished Pink Stampin’ Blend. Then I spritzed the coloured acetate generously with Rubbing Alcohol and flipped it over onto a piece of Basic White cardstock. You can get a different look every time using this technique. I love how the colours blended to create a purple too.

After it dried, I stamped the sentiment using Night of Navy ink, flicked Wink of Stella across the card and then continued with all the normal, ribbon, layer, embellish stuff. You’ll find a whole supply list below.

Biggest Wish – Thank you card

This week I am featuring the Biggest Wish stamp set on my Social Media. I really want to show how this set can be fun and bold or soft and elegant(ish).

Today’s card uses a colour combo inspired by the Global Design Project challenge (#GDP293 and a layout inspired by The Spot Challenge #163.

I usually try to design sticking to one suite or product bundle, but today I grabbed little bits from all over my craft room. See the full list of supplies below.

To create these sweet little gold leaves I actually cut up larger pieces from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack. I piece created leaves for my whole card.

Biggest Wish

Today’s card was a bit of a journey. I started out trying to create just a quick Catalogue Inspiration card for the TGIF Challenge #TGIFC317

Instead, I ended up smudging some black ink on the DSP of this card. I have to add some extra stamping to the card to cover up my smudges. In the end, it’s not my favourite card – but better than a nice card with a smudge on the front.

You’re as Sweet as a Peach

This long weekend has been filled with gardening, games and sunshine. It feels like summer here in BC. I am the type of person who truly stamps my mood and I am HAPPY and so grateful this weekend.

I created my card based on an awesome card sketch from Freshly Made Sketches (FMS486)

I used most Pale Papaya to create this card and to embellish ( since I didn’t have any in-color jewels on hand) I used the sparkly Champagne Rhinestones.

The Basic Border Dies are perfect for creating the stitched curve!

Paper Pumpkin Alternatives- May 2021 Batter Up

I really didn’t think I was a baseball fan – but I LOVED playing with this month’s Paper Pumpkin. The images are fun and the cards feel crisp and clean.

I hope you get inspired by these alternatives.

The Night of Navy blends to colour the hat work so well and the White embossing on the hat makes for a nice touch.

This card has an overlay of crumb cake. I stamped the bats with Soft Suede ink and the All Star is second generation Soft Suede.

To complete this card I cut a Stitched Rectangle out of Midnight Madness to add a layer. I had to get creative with this one because I actually dropped my Sift Suede ink pad on both the baseball and the base card. That’s why I included a layer and crossed the bat over the ball. I was thrilled that I was able to still use both pieces from the kit.

Today I was creating a fancy year end card to give to my teaching team (I actually need 3 of them – my cohort partner, my teaching partner and my E.A.) They are all so fabulous! I used two challenges to help give me inspiration.

Have A Peachy Day

The weather here in BC feels like summer and these peaches transport me to my childhood, summer days in Penticton. I created today’s card specifically for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. If you haven’t tried your hand at a sketch challenge you really should. Such a great way to design cards and sometimes really stretches your creative thinking.

In Colours are the BEST! I love all the Stampin’ Up! colours, but the In-Colours always add a touch of freshness to the year.

This card features a 2020-21 In-Colour ( Magenta Madness) and a 2021-22 In-Colour ( Fresh Freesia). I created this card for the Spot Challenge #161 – Color Challenge.
