This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge is a soft and subtle Colour Challenge. Our design team have created some beautiful cards so, head over to the Hand Stamped Sentiments page to view them all and then join the challenge.
Here is my card created using the soon to be retiring, Best Day stamp set by Stampin’ Up! I also used the soon to be retiring, Design A Daydream 12X12 DSP.

I have actually created over 25 cards using these materials in the past 2 days ( and yes – I did leave my craft room for family time, gardening, and time out with the girls 🙂 These cards just go together so easily. Here is the one I created this morning using a sketch challenge from TGIF challenges (#tgifc411).
I used one of the new Basics 3D embossing folders from the Online Exclusives to create the subtle background and added a few Brushed Brass Butterflies – otherwise these images and papers came form the Enjoy the Adventure Card Pack! You can see the very quick video of how it came together below. The sun is finally shining (here in Port Coquitlam) and I’m ready to get out in the garden. While I wait for the warmth of the afternoon I got into my craft room. The card I created today featured the Irresistible Blooms bundle from the new Online Exclusive products!! I used the Global Design Project challenge #384 for my layout.
I used a slightly differnt colour pallette than the Hello, Irresistible DSP. I added Bermuda Bay, Highland Heather and Fresh Freesia to go with the Pretty Peacock DSP background. I love the purples!
In the video I also showed you my original card design – it was nearly identical except for colours. I used Pear Pizzazz ink for the leaves and Flirty Flamingo ink for the blooms.
