Modern Christmas Suite – Wishing You Peace & Joy

I had so much fun creating this beautiful Christmas card during my Live today! The Modern Christmas Suite is full of timeless holiday images and coordinating dies, making it perfect for elegant cards like this one. Pairing gold with black and white creates a bold, festive look that really shines.

Here’s how you can make this card yourself:

Start with a Thick Basic White card base (5-1/2″ X 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″).
Adhere the Modern Christmas DSP (tree pattern – 4″ X 5-1/4″) to the card front.
Die cut the 4th largest Everyday Arch in both Basic Black cardstock and the 5th largest in Basic White cardstock. Layer the two so the black peeks out slightly behind the white for dimension. Adhere to the cardfront.
Fussy cut the three ornament images from the DSP and adhere to the arch using Dimensionals.
Stamp the sentiment “Wishing You Peace & Joy” in Versamark and heat emboss with gold on a Basic White strip.
Make a large bow from the black-and-gold twine and attach to the back of the sentiment strip.
Adhere the sentiment strip and bow across the bottom of the arch with Dimensionals.
Add gold sequins for a finishing touch.

I am so excited about all of the new Online Exclusives that Stampin’ Up! has to offer. This week I wanted to showcase the Latte Love stamp set – just in case you haven’t seen it yet. All the parts of this collection are amazing! Here is my card that I created live – you can see the full video below.

The layout for this card was inspired by the latest Freshly Made Sketches layout (FMS628).

Jingle Jingle Jingle FMS 551 Card

The rain showed up today – so I took advantage of the weather and stayed inside to craft. Yay! Todays’ card was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketch (#FMS551). Since I will be featuring the very FUN Jingle Jingle Jingle stamp set all week (an din an upcoming card class – details below) I thought I’d play with it today.

I used the brightest paper I had on hand – the holiday sheets from Celebrate Everything 12X12 DSP.

Adventure Camper Sale-a-bration Card

Every Wednesday morning at 9am(-ish) Pacific Time I craft LIVE on FB and You Tube. If you didn’t catch my video this morning you can see the card I created below. It was created using the He’s All That stamp set and the incredibly cute Tree Lot Sale-a-bration dies. The card was inspired by the talented Elizabeth Price and a Freshly Made Sketches (FMS546) challenge.

I created the background by using Coastal Cabana ink with a Blending Brush and a circle template as a mask. Then I roughed up the edges using the edge of my paper snips. Finally I splattered the whole piece with Wink of Stella and White Ink. Then I set it aside to dry while I created the tree and camper elements.

I created the background by colouring the Silver & Gold DSP with Orchid Oasis and Tahitian Tide Stampin’ Blends Combos. I actually coloured one large piece of DSP and then cut it into 3/4″ strips, flipping some of them before gluing them.

In the video I didn’t glue my first DSP strip correctly, so I had to add a 5th strip. Below you can see a version with the strips spaced the way I had intended. Creating the card this way you only need a 3″ X 4-1/2″ piece of DSP (which means you can actually make 2 cards from one piece of DSP). I used Orchid Oasis and Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends Combos to colour this one.

Splendid Thoughts FMS# 544 – Sketch Challenge

Every Wednesday morning at 9am(-ish) Pacific Time I craft LIVE on FB and You Tube. If you didn’t catch my video this morning you can see the card I created below. It was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketch (FMS544)

This card was created with the Splendid Thoughts Bundle. I used Pool Party and Light Natural Tones Stampin’ Blends to colour the greenery and to create the background layer I used the Splendid Day DSP. I used Basic Gray ink to stamp the greenery outlines and the sentiment. There is even a subtle vellum die cut leaf in the background.

I love the sentiments in this stamp set. I chose the ‘Let’s Celebrate’ sentiment since it is versatile. I can now use this card for a birthday, wedding or other celebration.
