It’s time for another round of creative inspiration from talented Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators across Canada! Each month we share our unique take on a theme or challenge, and this time we’re working from a sketch challenge—a perfect way to spark creativity and help you try a fresh layout.

For my card, I reached for the Coneflower Celebrations bundle and combined it with the beautiful Country Woods 12×12 Designer Series Paper. I love the contrast of the bright, bold coneflower against the weathered, woodgrain background—it creates a rustic-yet-fresh summer vibe.

Card Details:

  • Base: Crumb Cake cardstock for a warm, neutral foundation.
  • DSP: Country Woods 12×12 DSP for the bottom panel and a coordinating textured strip.
  • Focal Image: Coneflower from Coneflower Celebrations, coloured in vibrant Strawberry Slush for a bold pop.
  • Sentiment: “Celebrating You!”—perfect for birthdays, achievements, or just because.
  • Accents: A soft splatter background, stitched edge details on the Everyday Arch, and Pressed Flower Motif embellishments for texture and interest.

A snow-dusted background with an Everyday Arch to frame the happiest little snowman. Finished with twine and the sentiment “Sending a jar full of cheer”, this card brings wintry warmth with its cool blues and cozy textures.

🎁 Card 2: Jar of Ornaments Joy
Bright and bold with a Real Red background, this card features stamped ornaments inside a jar, twine-wrapped layers, and a sweet sentiment: “May your heart be filled with joy.” Perfect for mass-producing with a pop of cheer!

🍬 Card 3: Gingerbread Peppermint Delight
A sweet treat of a card! The jar is filled with gingerbread, peppermint candies, and stars. With a plaid embossed background, an icy Pool Party DSP and sentiment “Wishing you the sweetest Christmas,” this is a standout for candy-lovers and bakers alike!

Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop – June 2025 Featuring the Boho Vibes Suite

I chose to feature the Boho Vibes Suite, paired with the versatile Everyday Details Arches Dies, to create a vibrant, feel-good card.

🌟 Card Details:

  • Card base: Secret Sea cardstock
  • Rainbow: Cut using the Sunshine Vibes Dies in Berry Burst, Timid Tiger, Darling Duckling, and Strawberry Slush
  • Sentiment: Stamped in Secret Sea ink
  • Embellishments: Muted Pallette Dots from the suite
  • Layout: The rainbow is layered inside the stitched arch from the Everyday Details dies. The background DSP (also from the suite) brings a bold graphic flair that contrasts beautifully with the soft whites and vibrant rainbow.

I love how this colour palette and die combo brings instant joy and positivity—just perfect for sending good vibes!

💡 Design Tip:
Apply Adhesive Sheets to your cardstock before die-cutting the rainbow pieces. This makes it so much easier to assemble the design—no liquid glue, no sticky fingers, and perfectly clean placement every time!

✂️ Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Cut a standard A2 card base from Basic Beige cardstock.
  2. Trim Perennial Lavender DSP to 4” x 5-1/4” and adhere to the front.
  3. Die cut an arch from Basic White using Everyday Details Dies. Emboss with Exposed Brick 3D folder.
  4. Die cut the next size up from Crumb Cake cardstock using Everyday Details Dies. Layer the two arches together.
  5. Stamp the floral(x2) and hummingbird images in Early Espresso on scrap Basic White.
  6. Colour with Stampin’ Blends: Highland Heather for florals, Highland Heather and Pretty Peacock for the bird.
  7. Fussy cut the images and attach to the arches using Dimensionals.
  8. Stamp and white heat emboss your sentiment on Lost Lagoon cardstock.
  9. Adhere the arch to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  10. Add the sentiment strip and finish with Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.

Ocean Friends Crabby Thank You Card

This week’s Facebook/You Tube Live was full of underwater charm as I featured the Last Chance Ocean Friends bundle in a fun thank-you card inspired by the Global Design Project Challenge #491 – the theme is Ocean! 🌊

🌟 Card Details:

This bright and cheerful design combines 2024–2026 In Colors with a few old favourites to create a layered, sea-inspired look. Here’s what I used:

  • Stamp Set & Dies: Ocean Friends Bundle (Retiring – Last Chance!)
  • Colours:
    • Card Base: Summer Splash
    • Coral: Petunia Pop
    • Crabs: Azure Afternoon (2-step stamping)
    • Sea Stars: Peach Pie
    • Background Arch: Night of Navy (leftover from a previous card – love when scraps come in handy!)
  • Sentiment: “Thanks so much” stamped in Night of Navy
  • Extra touches: Bubble stamps and seaweed add that fun ocean floor feel!

This card would be perfect to thank someone for a beach day, a seafood dinner invite, or just to brighten someone’s day with a smile.

🧼 Tip of the Day:

The 2-step stamping technique works beautifully with solid images like these crabs – it gives the critters more personality and dimension!

I’m so excited to share this vibrant birthday card I created during my recent Facebook Live. It features the Arched Wishes Stamp Set and Everyday Arch Dies, both of which are Online Exclusives. This design was inspired by Loni Spendlove’s gorgeous card, which you can see here.

What makes this card truly special is the masked balloon technique I used to create the colorful blended background. By combining stamped images with a soft ink-blended effect, I added depth and a festive vibe perfect for any celebration.

Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge #459

It’s time for a new Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge (#HSS459), and this one is full of dreamy pastels, elegant florals, and soft natural textures! The colour palette of Lost Lagoon, Petal Pink, and Peach Pie creates the perfect delicate, nature-inspired design.

For this challenge, I created a Bandstand Fold Card, a fun interactive design I learned from Dawn Griffith. This fold adds an elegant touch, making it perfect for showcasing beautiful layers of Designer Series Paper.

The soft floral design from Perennial Lavender DSP combined with the stunning Thoughtful Designs Specialty DSP creates a layered, ethereal effect, mirroring the inspiration challenge perfectly. The Labelled With Love Bundle adds the perfect focal point with a sentiment framed by delicate stamped florals and soft pastel butterflies.

Throwback Thursday: Pet Sympathy Cards with a Mix of Old and New

Losing a beloved pet is never easy. Whether it’s a loyal dog who’s been by your side for years or a sweet cat who loved curling up in your lap, pets truly are family. When a friend or loved one experiences that kind of loss, a handmade card can be a thoughtful way to show you care.

This week’s Throwback Thursday project is a heartfelt pet sympathy card featuring a mix of brand-new and retired products. I love pulling out old favorites and giving them new life alongside fresh supplies! Let’s take a closer look at how I created these soft and comforting designs.

A Blend of New and Retired Favorites

For these cards, I started with a Thick Basic White card base with a Petal Pink layer—such a warm and soothing colour. The background features the not-yet-released Textured Note Dies, adding a subtle frame that elevates the whole design. The gorgeous rainbow arch? That’s the Everyday Arches Dies (an Online Exclusive!), layered in Flirty Flamingo, Gold Foil, and Basic White to create a warm yet elegant look.

I tucked in some fluffy clouds using the Adventurous Sky Dies, stamped a small but meaningful sentiment from the Keeping Tabs Stamp Set, and added a sprinkle of Petal Pink Foiled Gems for just a touch of shine.

But here’s where the throwback element comes in—I reached for my retired cat and dog punches to create the sweet silhouettes at the base of the card. While these punches are no longer available, they were the perfect finishing touch, and if you have them in your stash, this is a great way to use them!

A Handmade Card That Brings Comfort

There’s something truly special about a handmade card during difficult times. While it can’t take away the loss, it lets someone know they’re not alone. Whether you use the same supplies or swap in similar ones from your craft collection, I hope this design inspires you to create and share a little kindness.
