Hello, crafty friends!

I had so much fun creating with the February 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Hello Spring! This kit is perfect for welcoming the fresh, bright colors of spring, and I couldn’t resist making a few alternative cards to show you how versatile it is.

In my recent Paper Pumpkin Live, I shared three alternative card designs featuring a mix of kit elements and extra supplies to step up the creativity. If you missed it, don’t worry—you can catch the replay here:

Here are the three alternate cards I created.

💌 Happy Easter – A fresh and airy design with Lost Lagoon cardstock, delicate stamping, and Brushed Brass Butterflies to embellish. BONUS – the butterflies are a Sale-a-bration freebie (with a $75 purchase) from now until Feb 28th!

This month’s Paper Pumpkin – Filled With Joy – creates 8 cute stockings with tags. In the video below I created the kit tag and stocking as well as 3 alternative cards and an alternate tag. September 2024 – Paper Pumpkin – Autumn Abundance ( and alternative cards)

This month’s Paper Pumpkin – Autumn Abundance – creates 9 beautiful fall cards. In the video below I created the 3 original design cards as well as 3 alternative cards. Scroll down and you will find photos of the alternative cards that I created using extra bits from the Paper Pumpkin kit and the Every Celebration Dies that are this quarter’s add-on pack. When I created my original three cards, I modified the designs slightly so I could get the most out of the fantastic card bases. These were quick and easy cards to create.

Here are my alternate cards! Including a 4th card that I created later in the day using the remaining piece of DSP, the snail stamp and the 2 leaves I had inked with the sponge dauber.

These cards were created using the add-on dies that actually coordinate not just with this Paper Pumpkin kit, but the July, August and Septmeber kits!

April 2024 – Paper Pumpkin – Delicate Wings ( and alternative cards)

This month’s Paper Pumpkin – Delicate Wings is a gorgeous butterfly kit. In the video below I created the 3 original design cards as well as an alternative. Scroll even further down and you will find two more alternative cards that I created using extra bits from the Paper Pumpkin kit and the Thanks and Beyond Dies that are this quarter’s add-on pack.

When I created my original three cards, I modified the designs slightly so I could get the most out of the gorgeous card bases. I also used a birthday sentiment for one of the cards since I hopefully don’t need to many sympathy style cards in the near future. I absolutely LOVE how these cards look with the new Basic Beige card bases.

Paper Pumpkin – September 2022 – Spooky Treats

The cute spooky-themed September 2022 Paper Pumpkin makes Hallowe’en treat giving a snap. This kit includes all you need to create 18 treat boxes (6 each of 3 designs) but the pieces can actually all be mixed and matched to allow you some extra creativity. These treat boxes are exactly the right size for 2 mini Halloween candy bars or a mini playdoh tub.

I actually need 21 treat boxes for my class, so I got two kits. I made 21 boxes and then used the extra bits to create some Halloween cards. The additional treat box bases I will use to make some treats for my Xmas table ( watch for these in another post). I can make my own box wrapper easily by cutting a piece of DSP or cardstock at 3″ X 8-1/8″, then score at 2-1/2″, 3-1/2″, 6″ and 7-1/8″. Here is the card I made in the video below.

And here is another card I created using one my extra box wrappers. The plaid design hides the score lines so well you can’t see them at all.

The plaid layer is 3″ X 4″. Then I used the Stylish Shapes dies to cut a vellum circle and the largest banner. I wrapped a piece of glitter washi tape across the front of the plaid layer and used the ghost and spider web from the kit. You could of course use a plaid DSP and stamp the ghost and spider web if you’ve used up all your pre-made bits. Here are the extra bits I used to make cards from this kit:

Check out my video to see how to put them together – I show the process many times in the video ( the first time is clumsy because I did NOT know what I was doing – so move along and watch my second, third or fourth fold – much smoother).

Paper Pumpkin Alternative Cards- July 2022 – Sending Good Thoughts

Sometimes a Paper Pumpkin Kit just touches your creative side – and this July kit certainly has for me. I have created 3 simple alternatives, and have more ideas swirling – just not enough time to stamp yet. Here are the 3 extra cards I have created so far.

All three cards use the leftover bottle frames as a template to create new bottles. Below I’ll let you know exactly which outline and which colours were used.

This first card I used Balmy Blue ink and a Blending Brush to create the bottle. You can see the bottom even has a bit of a roundness to it. I created that by inking the edges of the bottle outline, then flipping the bottle frame upside down and using the bottom of the bottle to create the same curve at the bottom and then inking it a bit more. Once all that is done, dfussy cut the bottle. I simply used Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends to create the cork.

The second card has bottles of 2 different colours. The bottle on the left and the small one are Balmy Blue, and the other bottle is Pool Party. I made sure to mask off the edges of the bottles a bit more since the two large bottles were being inked onto the layer and not cut out. Then I fussy cut the ship and mounted it on a piece of Vellum cut with the Stylish Shapes dies.

The final bottle was created using Smoky Slate Ink and a Blending Brush. The cork was created using Crumb Cake marker. All three cards were embellished with 2021-23 In Colour Opal Rounds.

The nautical themed July 2022 Paper Pumpkin makes me smile. Since I live in BC near the ocean, and have grown up visiting beautiful Islands and the Sunshine Coast I can smell the salty air while I craft with this kit. Here are the 3 cards I created using the kit instructions as well as my first alternative card.

Thanks to Brenda Crawford who made the great suggestion during my live video to use the outline from the bottle pieces to recreate more bottles. It was really easy to use a blending brush and my Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends to create this bottle.

** After the video I decided this card was too flimsy with an embossed front,
so I trimmed it to 4″ X 5-1/4″ and mounted it on a Thick Basic White card base.
