Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge # 382 – Inspiration Challenge

This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge is an fun Inspiration Challenge. Take a look at all the beautiful cards created by our design team and then join the challenge.

Here is my take on it.

This card is a great little fun fold. Start with a regular 5-1/2″ X 8-1/2″ piece of cardstock, but score it at 2″, 3-1/8″, 5 3/8”, and 6 1/2” instead of in half. This will allow you to fold it in this cool pop up manner.

Next I adhered the two 1 3/4” x 5 1/4” petal pink pieces of Sunshine & Rainbow DSP ( a FREE SAB item) to either side of the card front and the 2” x 5 1/4” Navy piece to the front.

To create the front card candy I die cut a piece of Night of Navy cardstock and a piece of Layering Vellum using the largest label in the Tasteful Labels dies. I adhered them together in opposite directions (Navy horizontal, Vellum vertical). The I stamped the cute van from the FREE Driving By stamp set using Memento Black Ink, coloured it with Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends and fussy cut it. Then I stamped the palm trees from Timeless Tropical using Night of Navy Ink and die cut them. Next, I stamped the thank you sentiment from Timeless Tropical using Night of Navy Ink on a 3/4″ X 2″ strip of Basic White cardstock. I used mini glue dots and Dimensionals to adhere all the bits to the card candy and then glued it to the center layer of the card front only. The light pink adhesive-backed Hexagons were the finishing touch.

In my FB (and You Tube) live this Sunday I showed a bunch of cards I created using the brighter side of this fun DSP. Then when I created I chose to show off the softer side of this DSP. Here is my creation.

Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #381 – Colour Challenge

This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge is an awesome Colour Challenge. Take a look at all the beautiful cards created by our design team and then join the challenge.

I used the Flowering Tulips Bundle and a great gift card holder design by Erica Cerwin.

To create the basic card base I used Petal Pink Cardstock: 5-1/2″ X 11″, score the long side at 3-3/8″ from each end, then cut out the top corners leaving a 3″ tall door at the bottom.

Next I die cut the tulip petals out of Petal Pink and Basic White cardstock and used a Blending Brush to add Pumpkin Pie Ink to the flowers.

I put the tulip petal pieces together using Dimensionals and Mini Glue Dots. I stamped some stems using Soft Sea Foam on a 2″ X 3-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock and attached the tulips above them.

The tulips and the sentiment were attached to the front flap using Dimensionals. The Basic White rectangle, DSP layer and the blank cardstock to write on were attached with Tear and Tape afterwards so they could be lined up to create a border around the tulips.

When I attached the cloud layer I used Tear and Tape around the edges only to create a pocket for a gift card.

The finished card fits nicely in a regular Medium Basic White Envelope and perfectly hides the gift card inside.

Catching Butterflies – Sale-a-bration Gift Card Holder

Today I created using the FREE sale-a-bration item Catching Butterflies stamp set.

Here are the dimensions of the materials I used. See the video for exactly how to cut and assemble.

Pool Party Cardstock: 5-1/2″ X 11″, score the long side at 3-3/8″ from each end. (then see video for how to cut the barn doors)

Pool Party Stitched Rectangle : 3″ X 4-3/8″

Pool Party pocket: 4″ X 3″ (die cut with basic borders clouds)

Heart & Home DSP (woodgrain): 4″ X 5-1/4″

Heart & Home DSP (green leaves): (x2) 2-3/4″ X 3-1/8″

Basic White Stitched Rectangles: (X2) 2-1/4″ X 3-5/8″

The Butterfly layer and the girl were attached to the front flap using Dimensionals. The Pool party REctangle and the sentiment layer were attached with Tear and Tape afterwards so they could be lined up to create a border aroudn the girl and butterflies.

When I attached the cloud layer I used Tear and Tape around the edges only to create a pocket for a gift card.

The finished card fits nicely in a regular Medium Basic White Envelope and perfectly hides the gift card inside.

My card this month was created for one of my stepsons. He is majorly into cars so I hope he’ll love the card.

I used the FREE SAB set Driving By and then altered the sentiment slightly by grabbing a ‘Happy Birthday’ from the Party Puffins stamp set.

Some other details on this card are the Gingham embossed background, the rainbow stripes from the Sweet Talk DSP and the Resin Stars embellishments.

Island Vibes Amazing Thanks Cards

I am dreaming of being able to travel and visit tropical places again. This Island Vibes stamp set is just the thing I need right now – and I got it FREE as a reward during Sale-a-bration!

This first card was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #517

I stamped the images with the SAB set – Island Vibes and used the new Amazing Thanks Dies from the Stampin’ Up! Jan – June 2022 Mini Catalogue.

Awesome Otters – Sneek Peek Card

I took a break from creating Christmas cards to dip into a box of new pre-order product ( these items will be available to customers on Jan 3rd – if you can’t wait that long then contact me about becoming a demonstrator so you can order these items today).

The stamp set used to create this punny card is called Awesome Otters and is one of the selections from the upcoming sale-a-bration pamphlet. Just one of many great offerings.

The background of this card was created by blending Pacific Point Ink onto a Basic White cardstock, then dripping Isopropyl Alcohol (91%) on to it to make the mottled look. The DSP used is a soon to be released paper from the Sweet Talk Suite in the Jan – June 2022 catalogue. The banner was also created using a die from the Sweet Heart Dies that are a part of the suite.
