Throwback Thursday: Fable Friends Bunny Baby Card

Welcome to another Throwback Thursday! Today I’m featuring a sweet card made with the retired Fable Friends stamp set—a charming classic that still brings all the cozy vibes.

This darling bunny was stamped in Pebbled Path Ink (a soon to be retired colour) and coloured using Stampin’ Blends for a soft, storybook feel. I paired him with the gentle Lost Lagoon blue/green of the Timeless Plaid DSP, a soft Basic Beige ribbon bow, and a few Blooming Pearls for just the right amount of shine.

This layout is simple yet full of warmth—perfect for a handmade baby card that’s sure to be treasured.

Card Details:

  • Stamp Set: Fable Friends (retired)
  • Designer Series Paper: Timeless Plaid DSP
  • Ink & Colouring: Pebbled Path Ink, Lost Lagoon Ink and Stampin’ Blends (Lost Lagoon, Pebbled Path, Crumb Cake and Bubble Bath)
  • Embellishments: Basic Beige ribbon, Blooming Pearls
  • Cardstock Colours: Lost Lagoon, Basic White, Pebbled Path

I love how this retired stamp still holds up so beautifully with current products. Do you have a favourite set you just can’t let go of? Share it with me in the comments below!

Throwback Thursday: Pun Fun Stamp Set

It’s time for another Throwback Thursday! Today, I’m bringing back the adorable Pun Fun stamp set—a true classic filled with playful and punny images perfect for all occasions. I had so much fun pairing this retired favorite with the Bright & Beautiful 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper for a fresh and cheerful look!

Card Details:

  • The adorable cat and hippo images were stamped in Memento Black Ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends for a soft, blended look.
  • The backgrounds feature Bright & Beautiful 6″ x 6″ DSP, adding a bright and happy feel.
  • I used the Stylish Shapes Dies to create the cardstock frame around the stamped images, giving them a polished and layered look.
  • A few sequins add the perfect touch of shimmer.

This set may be retired, but its charm is timeless! Have you ever used Pun Fun in your cardmaking? Let me know in the comments!

Throwback Thursday: Picture Perfect Party DSP with a Fresh Twist! 🎉

This week’s Throwback Thursday is all about bringing bold birthday vibes back! I dusted off the retired Picture Perfect Party 6×6 DSP, which is full of bright colors and festive designs like confetti and gift bows. ✨ These patterns scream celebration and were so fun to revisit!

To give these cards a modern twist, I paired the DSP with the current Labeled With Love Bundle, stamping the sentiment in Berry Burst ink. The label shape adds just the right touch of elegance to balance the playful background. For embellishments, I used the Adhesive-backed Sequins Trio and tied it all together (literally!) with some Black Baker’s Twine.

These cards are perfect for any birthday and prove that blending retired favorites with new tools keeps creativity alive and thriving!

Throwback Thursday: Sweet Strawberry Meets Fresh New DSP! 🍓

Hey, crafty friends! It’s time for another Throwback Thursday, and today I’m spotlighting the retired Sweet Strawberry stamp set and punch bundle—a fan-favorite that I still love pulling out!

Even though this bundle is no longer available, I’ve paired it with current products to give it a fresh new look. The background is a mix of strips from the Take a Bow 6”x6” DSP layered onto Real Red cardstock. To add extra detail, I used the largest Textured Notes die (one of the Online Exclusives!) to create that stitched frame effect.

The strawberries, leaves, and flowers are stamped, colored, and punched out, then popped up for dimension. And for a little shimmer, I added Iridescent Pearls to the flower centers. ✨

This is a great way to use up patterned paper scraps while giving retired favorites a fresh twist! Have a set you haven’t used in a while? Pull it out and mix it with some newer goodies!

💬 Do you have a retired set you just can’t part with? Let me know in the comments!

Throwback Thursday: A Peaceful Sympathy Card with Embossing & Blending

There’s something truly special about handmade cards—they can express what words sometimes cannot. Today, I’m sharing a Throwback Thursday project featuring a heartfelt sympathy card that I created using a mix of retired and current Stampin’ Up! products.

This card design is simple yet elegant, combining soft ink blending, embossed textures, and a touch of shimmer to create a peaceful, wintry scene.

Card Details & Techniques:

To create this look, I started by die-cutting a stitched circle from Pool Party cardstock and ink-blending it with Night of Navy ink. The trees from the Peaceful Evergreens set were stamped in a full strength Night of Navy Ink to create depth. To add an extra wow factor, I heat-embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder—a simple technique that always makes a card feel extra special.

The background is embossed with the Painted Trees 3D Embossing Folder, adding subtle dimension without overpowering the design. A bow made from the Night of Navy & Gold Glittered Ribbon ties it all together, adding a hint of shimmer.

Why I Love This Card

This card reminds me of the beauty in simplicity. Sometimes, when we don’t know what to say, a handmade card speaks for us. The peaceful blues and soft textures make this a perfect sympathy or thinking-of-you card.

Products Used:
Here is a full list of the supplies I used (minus the Peaceful Evergreens Stamp Set (Retired) – you could always use another tree set and a more generic With sympathy sentiment to create your own version of this card):

Throwback Thursday: A Little Dragonfly Love!

If you’ve been following me for a while, you might already know—I have a thing for dragonflies. 🖤 My kitchen cabinet handles? Dragonflies. My door knocker? Yep, also a dragonfly! So it’s no surprise that my craft stash has its fair share of dragonfly-themed stamps and dies, too!

For this Throwback Thursday, I couldn’t resist bringing back an old favorite: the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits from way back in the day. These dies are long retired, but I just can’t let them go—and after making this card, I’m so glad I didn’t!

Blending Old & New

I love pairing retired products with brand-new ones, and this card is the perfect mix of past and present. Here’s what I used:

Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits – A true classic! I die-cut the dragonflies in Basic Black and popped them up with Black Dimensionals for extra depth.

Beautiful Butterflies Stamp Set – This lovely set was a Sale-A-Bration freebie last month, and it pairs so well with my dragonflies!

Beautiful Bokeh DSP – The dreamy, soft background adds the perfect touch of color.

Berry Burst Card Base & Black Trim – A bold, striking contrast to make the design pop.

Iridescent Faceted Gems – Because every card needs a little sparkle, right?

Clear Embossing Powder Over the Sentiment – I stamped my sentiment in Basic Black, then added clear embossing powder to give it a raised, shiny finish. It’s a small detail, but it really makes the sentiment stand out!

Here is a full list of the supplies I used (minus the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits – you could always use the Beautiful Butterfly Dies to create a butterfly version of this card):
