A Million Thanks Kit & Alternatives

Every Wednesday morning I go live on FB and You Tube to create something using the Stampin’ Up! product that I am featuring that week. This Wednesday I played around with the A Million Thanks Kit. (Actually Tuesday night I created with the kit and Wednesday morning I created alternatives using the left over bits from the kit). I used EVERY piece in the kit.

So anyways, here are the 9 cards & envelopes that the kit instructions show you how to make – I LOVE them.

When I created these cards I only made one change – I did not add the pop up flowers like they suggested on the heart card, I didn’t think it needed the extra layer. And I did switch up the sentiment on 2 of the cards so I could create a couple of birthday cards. I used Wildlife Wonder for the sentiment. I also used one of the flowers (that I didn’t put on the background) and some Iridescent Pearl Jewels to add a special touch. Here is what they cards looked like instead.

You can see exactly how I made these cards in this video, and of course – the kits themselves come with full colour instructions.

By making that little change to the heart card I ended up with 6 extra labels and a ton of fun flowers to create some alternate cards with. I just needed card bases, envelopes and a few fun tools and embellishments. Here’s what I created.

I used the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks, blending brushes and some Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz Ink to make these fun backgrounds.

Even after making the 9 kit cards (3 each of 3 designs) and the 4 alternatives (2 each of 2 designs) I still had left over flowers and these two lonely labels.

So, off screen I continued to stamp using the same materials as above.

With just one label and three black dots left (and I had the Wildlife Wonder stamp set out for the birthday sentiment), I grabbed a few more supplies – not listed above – Early Espresso ink and cardstock, Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends, Stylish Shapes dies, and some Vellum Cardstock to create this masculine card.

I created a total of 16 AMAZING cards using this kit!!

Paper Pumpkin – May 2022 – Celebrating In Color

A new catalogue was released this month – and with that comes new In Colors. Sweet Sorbet, Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis Starry Sky and Parakeet Party. Vibrant, gorgeous colours!! The May 2022 Paper Pumpkin gives us a chance to create with these 5 new colours. Here are the cards I created using the kit.

Then I used a few leftover pieces and some Tahitian Tide Ink and Stampin’ Blends to create this alternative – great for a grad card or a birthday.

Brewed For You In Color Card

Every Wednesday morning I go live on FB and You Tube to create something using the Stampin’ Up! product that I am featuring that week. This Wednesday I focused on the Brewed For You bundle. I paired it with two of my other favourite new products from the NEW 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue – Orchid Oasis everything and the Stylish Shapes dies.

This card was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketch Challenge (#FMS535).

I had to change the direction of the sketch since the images and sentiments are actually quite large in this set. I love that the dies cut all the bits and have some fun embellishment bits.

I also love the dotted stitching on the Stylish Shapes – and the Splatters embossing folder creates the perfect background.

He’s The Man Birthday Card

Every Wednesday morning I go live on FB and You Tube to create something using the Stampin’ Up! product that I am featuring that week. Today I focused on the versatile He’s The Man stamp set and All That Dies. This bundle is part of the He’s The Man Collection available in the NEW 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue.

The colours of the DSP are classic masculine combinations with great neutrals and pops of colour. The dies are stylish and have a great beveled edge to make them look finished.

I added a layer of clear embossing powder over the sentiment to make it shine.

Celebrate Sunflowers Double Pocket Card

Every Wednesday morning I go live on FB and You Tube to create something using the Stampin’ Up! product that I am featuring that week. Today I focused on the beautiful Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and Sunflower Dies. The base of the card is made from the Heart & Home 12X12 DSP found in the Stampin’ Up! Jan – June 2022 Mini Catalogue.

The card base is actually made of DSP and is folded in such a way that it creates a sturdy card with 2 pockets. I put a Tailor Made Tag in the front pouch and plan to use the inside one for a gift card.

Check out my video below to find out how I created this Double Pocket Card. I learned this fold from a 2012 Patty Bennett video – this fold is an oldie, but a goodie. I also have a supply list below.
