I love autumn and I enjoy using unique colour combos with the leaves. This card uses Mango Melody, Petal Pink and Soft Suede paired with some Pool Party and gold accents. The DSP, Glimmer Paper and Fine Sparkle Gems add LOTS of shine.

I also love to add details to cards by stamping the insides and the envelopes to match.

Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge # 396 – Colour Challenge

This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge is a rich Colour Challenge. Take a look at all the beautiful cards created by our design team and then join the challenge.

I used Stampin’ Blends to create a quick, fun background for this card – inspired by Stampin’ Through the Catalog. To let the flower bundles stand out nicely I also traced around the images with light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends. This bundle has some coordinating and complimentary dies – unfortunately I forgot I had the dies so I fussy cut the flower bundles and the banner.

To colour the flower bouquet I used my Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral and the retired Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends – however the Blackberry Bliss and Fresh Freesia blends would be a good substitute.

Here is the card I created using the Joyful Flurry Bundle ( and some FREE Sale-a-bration items).

There are lots of beautiful details in this card. The gold accents in the Lights Aglow DSP, the FREE SAB Brushed Metallic cardstock, I embossed the background with the snowflake folder from the Wintry 3D EF combo pack and of course the gold Elegant Trim and Elegant Faceted Gems. I am so excited to be able to invite you to join me to a FREE event being put on by Stampin’ Up! – a 3 hour World Card Making Day crafting session online! World Card Making Day is all about making beautiful, heartfelt cards. During the event, Stampin’ Up! staff will walk you through several projects, and you’ll create the cards right along with us. You’ll end up with new project ideas and some stunning new cards! In addition to this fun event I will have some crafting challenges ( with prizes) posted on my FB page – so make sure you follow me.

This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge is a detailed Sketch Challenge. Take a look at all the beautiful cards created by our design team and then join the challenge.

I substituted the floral element for the silver snowflake created with the Joyful Flurry bundle and used a masked layer rather than more cardstock to create the sentiment section. I used the Rings of Love 12X12 DSP from the Sale-a-bration selection. You can earn the DSP for FREE with a $60CAD purchase. Adventure Camper Sale-a-bration Card

Every Wednesday morning at 9am(-ish) Pacific Time I craft LIVE on FB and You Tube. If you didn’t catch my video this morning you can see the card I created below. It was created using the He’s All That stamp set and the incredibly cute Tree Lot Sale-a-bration dies. The card was inspired by the talented Elizabeth Price and a Freshly Made Sketches (FMS546) challenge.

I created the background by using Coastal Cabana ink with a Blending Brush and a circle template as a mask. Then I roughed up the edges using the edge of my paper snips. Finally I splattered the whole piece with Wink of Stella and White Ink. Then I set it aside to dry while I created the tree and camper elements.

I created the background by colouring the Silver & Gold DSP with Orchid Oasis and Tahitian Tide Stampin’ Blends Combos. I actually coloured one large piece of DSP and then cut it into 3/4″ strips, flipping some of them before gluing them.

In the video I didn’t glue my first DSP strip correctly, so I had to add a 5th strip. Below you can see a version with the strips spaced the way I had intended. Creating the card this way you only need a 3″ X 4-1/2″ piece of DSP (which means you can actually make 2 cards from one piece of DSP). I used Orchid Oasis and Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends Combos to colour this one.

Sometimes a Paper Pumpkin Kit just touches your creative side – and this July kit certainly has for me. I have created 3 simple alternatives, and have more ideas swirling – just not enough time to stamp yet. Here are the 3 extra cards I have created so far.

All three cards use the leftover bottle frames as a template to create new bottles. Below I’ll let you know exactly which outline and which colours were used.

This first card I used Balmy Blue ink and a Blending Brush to create the bottle. You can see the bottom even has a bit of a roundness to it. I created that by inking the edges of the bottle outline, then flipping the bottle frame upside down and using the bottom of the bottle to create the same curve at the bottom and then inking it a bit more. Once all that is done, dfussy cut the bottle. I simply used Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends to create the cork.

The second card has bottles of 2 different colours. The bottle on the left and the small one are Balmy Blue, and the other bottle is Pool Party. I made sure to mask off the edges of the bottles a bit more since the two large bottles were being inked onto the layer and not cut out. Then I fussy cut the ship and mounted it on a piece of Vellum cut with the Stylish Shapes dies.

The final bottle was created using Smoky Slate Ink and a Blending Brush. The cork was created using Crumb Cake marker. All three cards were embellished with 2021-23 In Colour Opal Rounds.
