This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge is a Valentines Inspiration Challenge. I used the adorable Bee My Valentine stamp set and punch bundle to create mine. I had my sweetie – Noah in mind as I created this one. This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge is a fantastic Colour Challenge. Soft and subtle – perfect for non-traditional Valentine’s- we have a wide variety of styles in the cards created by our design team – check them all out and then join the challenge.

Sweet Conversations Cards

All week I am focusing on making valentines. Not the lovey kind (although I guess I should make one of those for Noah) but the friendship/ thinking of you kind. I have a class full of sweeties that deserve a bit of extra sunshine in their day, plus a bunch of friends I don’t get to see enough of these days. I want everyone to know I am thinking of them and grateful for them in my life.

Today’s card was inspired by two different challenges.

Global Design Project #325 | Color Challenge

The set I featured was the Sweet Conversations stamp set and Sweet Heart dies from the Stampin’ Up! Jan – June 2022 Mini Catalogue.

Sweet Conversations stamp set – $25.00cdn (157618)

Using the same Sweet Conversation bundle and adding in some of the coordinating DSP I also showed this fun card.

The hearts on this card were die cut from cardstock (and heat embossed to add the sentiment to the green heart) and mostly from die-cutting from the DSP (bottom left sheet of mixed hearts). I love the watercolour patterns on the rainbow array of hearts.

Sweet Conversations Card

The NEW Jan – June 2022 Mini Catalogue is almost here – you can order from it beginning Tuesday, January 4th!! This sweet card was created using products from one of the upcoming Suites.

The layout of this card was inspired by a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches (#FMS516)

This suite has dies that perfectly cut out the conversation hearts from the DSP – however once you’ve used all those up there are the stamp sets that allow you to stamp the hearts and the words separately to be able to truly mix and match colours. There is a beautiful red ribbon in this suite – but I HAD to pair this sheet of DSP up with our gorgeous Highland Heather Grosgrain Ribbon. The slight metallic shimmer to this thick ribbon makes it so fun. For just a bit more sparkle I embellished the card with the magnificent new Iridescent Rhinestones.

The banner die is also a part of the Sweet Hearts dies set – keep an eye out for it on many more projects, I can see myself using it often.
