Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge # 422 – SketchChallenge

This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge is a tri-panel Sketch Challenge. I used the brand-new ( being released Sept 6th) Merriest Trees Bundle (stamp set and dies) to create mine. Our design team have created wonderful cards using this sketch so, head over to the Hand Stamped Sentiments page to view them all and then join the challenge.

Here is my card created using the soon to be released Merriest Trees bundle and the Merry Bold and Bright 12X12 DSP by Stampin’ Up!

Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge # 421 – Colour Challenge

This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge is a rich autumn Colour Challenge. I used the Bird’s Eye View stamp set to create mine. Our design team have created wonderful cards so, head over to the Hand Stamped Sentiments page to view them all and then join the challenge.

Here is my card created using the Bird’s Eye View stamp set and some soon to be released Cheery Patterns Embossing Folders by Stampin’ Up!

I had really wanted to use DSp for the background, but realized I do not own the Neutrals 6X6 DSP – so I had some fun with cardstock and embossing folders instead. This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge is a vibrant Inspiration Challenge. I used gorgeous greens ( Parakeet Party and Granny Apple Green) along with the sentiment and flowers from the Sweet Citrus stamp set to create mine. I am a big fan of creating your own DSP backgrounds – then you get exactly what you had envisioned! In this case I wanted a fully green pallette of leaves to place flowers on top of. Here is a full list of materials used to create this card.

Every Wednesday morning at 9am(-ish) Pacific Time I craft LIVE on FB and You Tube. If you didn’t catch my video this morning you can see the card I created below. It was created using the Happiness abounds Bundle and the versatile Silver & Gold 6X6 Sale-a-bration DSP.

I created the background by colouring the Silver & Gold DSP with Orchid Oasis and Tahitian Tide Stampin’ Blends Combos. I actually coloured one large piece of DSP and then cut it into 3/4″ strips, flipping some of them before gluing them.

In the video I didn’t glue my first DSP strip correctly, so I had to add a 5th strip. Below you can see a version with the strips spaced the way I had intended. Creating the card this way you only need a 3″ X 4-1/2″ piece of DSP (which means you can actually make 2 cards from one piece of DSP). I used Orchid Oasis and Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends Combos to colour this one.
