Sweet Mother’s Day Card – HSS Inspiration Challenge #462

I’m excited to share my card for the Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge #462! Inspired by the soft pinks and florals in the challenge board, I used the Attention Shopper Bundle—on the last chance list!—to create this sweet Mother’s Day card. The background features the 2024-2026 In Color DSP in Pretty in Pink, and the card is finished with shimmer gems for extra sparkle.

Here’s the card I created:

The mini bouquets are colored with coordinating Stampin’ Blends (Pretty In Pink, Fresh Freesia, Smoky Slate, Granny Apple Green) and popped up for dimension above a Balmy Blue blended background. I love how the fresh colors and florals echo the inspiration photos! If you love the Attention Shopper Bundle, don’t wait—it’s only available while supplies last!

Festive Friday – Wishing You a Merry Christmas with Fragrant Forest

If you love cards that are both serene and striking, this week’s Festive Friday creation is sure to inspire! I paired the Fragrant Forest background stamp with a warm holiday greeting from the Greetings of the Season stamp set, all framed with a stitched tag die from the Merriest Trees Dies. The finishing touches? A pop of shine with the Petal Pink & Pretty Peacock Foil Gems and a sweet Black & Very Vanilla Gingham Ribbon bow.

This card came together beautifully with a limited colour palette and minimal layers, which makes it easy to recreate—perfect for batch-making your holiday cards!

✂️ Step-by-Step Instructions

Cut a standard A2 card base from Basic Beige cardstock.
Trim Perennial Lavender DSP to 4” x 5-1/4” and adhere to the front.
Die cut an arch from Basic White using Everyday Details Dies. Emboss with Exposed Brick 3D folder.
Die cut the next size up from Crumb Cake cardstock using Everyday Details Dies. Layer the two arches together.
Stamp the floral(x2) and hummingbird images in Early Espresso on scrap Basic White.
Colour with Stampin’ Blends: Highland Heather for florals, Highland Heather and Pretty Peacock for the bird.
Fussy cut the images and attach to the arches using Dimensionals.
Stamp and white heat emboss your sentiment on Lost Lagoon cardstock.
Adhere the arch to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Add the sentiment strip and finish with Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.

Global Design Project #493 – Colour Challenge

This week’s Global Design Project is a fun Colour Challenge featuring Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green, and Basic Gray—and I just couldn’t resist creating a bright and cheerful teacher thank-you card using the School Days stamp set (available online only).

Here’s the card I created:

The bold stripes were created using tone-on-tone stamping to highlight the cute images from the set—apples, pencils, and stars. I added a stitched circle featuring a poppy Melon Mambo apple stacked on a couple of books, and tied it together with a sweet “Thank you” banner and a simple bow. Inside, I finished the card with the sentiment “You make a world of difference” and another little apple for a heartfelt touch.

This card would be perfect for any amazing teacher, EA, or school staff member who deserves a little love this time of year!

🔧 Step-by-Step Card Instructions:

1. Card Base:
Start with a standard A2 card base (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″) in Basic White Thick cardstock.

2. Embossed Background:
Cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock. Emboss it using the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder. Then cut this piece on a diagonal and adhere one triangle to the top left corner of the card front.

3. Designer Series Paper:
Add a 4″ x 5-1/4″ panel of Take a Bow DSP on the opposite corner. This striking pattern brings bold holiday energy!

4. Center Panel & Tree:
Stamp the star background on a 2-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Basic White using Soft Sea Foam Ink. Heat emboss the tree sentiment from Merriest Trees onto Garden Green cardstock using white embossing powder, then die cut using the coordinating tree die. Pop it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

5. Red Accents:
Add two 2″ x 1″ strips of red DSP to the top and bottom of the white panel to add a pop of brightness and balance.

6. Embellishments:
Finish it off with Earth Tones Shimmer Gems for sparkle and dimension.

🌷 Throwback Thursday – Flowering Tulips for Mother’s Day 🌷

It’s time for another Throwback Thursday, and today’s card is all about celebrating the wonderful moms in our lives! I pulled out one of my favourite retired sets—Flowering Tulips—to create a soft and lovely Mother’s Day card. While this stamp set is no longer available, I paired it with some fabulous Last Chance Products that you can still get your hands on… and they’re on sale!

Here’s what I used:

Retired: Flowering Tulips Stamp Set & Dies (still a go-to for floral elegance)
On Sale & Retiring:
– 2024–2026 In Color 6″x6″ DSP (I used the Pretty In Pink stripes)
– 2024–2026 In Color Shimmer Gems (a subtle sparkle that ties it all together!)
Cardstock: Basic Gray (just a reminder—cardstock prices are increasing after May 6, so now is the perfect time to stock up!)
Ink Colors: Pretty In Pink, Bubble Bath, Soft Sea Foam, Basic Gray

The sentiment combo is one of my favourites—“Love You So Much” layered with a stitched banner for “Happy Mother’s Day.” Soft, sweet, and perfect for spring.

💡 TIP: This layout works beautifully with any floral set, so feel free to CASE this card using something from your current collection!

Welcome a Little One in Style with This Handmade Baby Card!

Looking for the perfect card to celebrate a new arrival? Today’s project is a sweet and simple handmade baby card featuring the adorable Cutest Onesie Bundle from Stampin’ Up!®. This easy card idea is perfect for new baby gifts, baby showers, or to tuck into a handmade baby gift basket.

Here’s a closer look at what I used to create this project:

Cardstock Base: Lost Lagoon
Designer Series Paper (DSP): Timeless Plaid (on the Last Chance List—grab it while supplies last!)
Accent Strip: Pebbled Path cardstock
Focal Image: Onesie die cut from the Cutest Onesie Bundle, stamped with a sweet star image and tucked perfectly into the coordinating hanger die cut—the die even cuts the collar so you can slip the hanger inside!
Embellishments: Adhesive-backed Textured Dots for a simple, gender-neutral shine

A Big Welcome for HSS461 – Sketch Challenge with the Cutest Onesie

This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #461 is a sketch challenge, and I couldn’t resist reaching for the Cutest Onesie stamp set to create this sweet baby card!

Here’s the card I created:

I started with a Lost Lagoon card base and built up the layers inspired by the sketch. I combined two fun paper textures for interest: a strip of Timeless Plaid 6″x6″ Designer Series Paper on the right side, and a piece of Old Olive cardstock embossed with the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder. I love how the plaid and corrugation add warmth and a cozy texture—perfect for a baby card!

The background panel is stamped with sweet star doodles from the Cutest Onesie set, and I popped up a white onesie, also from the set, stamped and die-cut to sit center stage. The tiny hanger adds such an adorable detail, don’t you think?

I finished it off with a welcoming sentiment stamped in Old Olive Ink and a few coordinating embellishments (Adhesive-backed Rainbow Dots).
