Sweet Silhouette

These beautiful (soon to be retiring) silhouette stamps and dies create quick and stunning cards.

The first card I created for the Spot Sketch Challenge #157. If you would like to see how I created the coloured background on the left check out my video below. I think this card could make a fabulous grad card or celebration of most life changes.

I then used some other pieces from this great bundle and some spare watercolour pieces ( because I never paint just one paper at a time!) to create a variation of this card.

The Sweet Silhouette dies and Silhouette Scenes stamp set will no longer be available after May 3rd. So if you love these grab them now! You can use the host code: BWWEEQGM, any order over $60 using this code will receive a little something special from me as a thank you.

DAY 3 – STAMPIN THE RAINBOW

I will be live everyday this week ( Mar 14 – 20) at 10am (ish) to stamp with you. Each day I will be featuring a different colour and one great ordering special (see below). Today’s card is featuring the colours Crushed Curry and So Saffron, the Cute Fruit stamp set and the gorgeous Fine Art Floral DSP. I actually created 3 cards to show how we can step up our cards – go from simple stamping to slightly more avid.

The stamp set I am featuring is called Cute Fruit – it is found in the Beginner’s Brochure. The first card is just cardstock and ink – but I did use a masking technique ( you can watch the video below to see how).

To step it up I created the same card but added a DSP layer and some fussy cutting instead of masking.

Finally, we went a little bit further and added ribbon, embellishments and Dimensionals. Nothing too crazy – but all the small details make a huge difference.

7 DAY ORDERING SPECIAL and it’s an awesome one!
Receive a Classic Stampin’ Pad (in the colour of your choice) for FREE with your minimum of a 60.00 order placed with me! (This special is available only in Canada and ends March 20th)
Use this link to order from me:

Darling Donkeys – FMS469

This week’s sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches (FMS469) was exactly what I needed to use up some paper scraps on my desk. I grabbed 3 different 4″ X 1/2″ strips, added some details by stamping and embossing them and voila, perfect background.

I love this little donkey – he is so fun and cute! It is also so nice that I got this stamp set for free – and you can too! Right now Sale-a-bration is happening, which means for every $60 or $120 you spend you can earn a free SAB item.

West Coast Creators Blog Hop

Hi! Thanks for hopping by. My name is Leah Dixon and I am an Independent Demonstrator for Stampin’ Up! I am a mom, teacher, and avid crafter. I’m so excited to be a part of the WCC Last Chance Blog Hop!

I chose to create a Pop-out card using one of my favourite stamp sets – Everything Amazing. It is great for birthdays, friendship, graduation and other achievements.

To achieve the pop-out look you can follow these instructions:

1. Card Base: I started with a regular card base 11” x4-¼” and score at the 5-½” mark.
2. Then I cut a window in the front of the card base using Stitched Nested Label dies.
3. Inside Fold: I started with a 10-½” x 4” piece of cardstock. On the 10-½” side, I scored at the 5-¼” and 7-7/8” marks. Then I folded the piece into a Z fold.
4. I stamped a balloon image on the largest section of the inside fold and adhered the Z fold to the inside of the card leaving 1/8” space around all the edges.
5. I stamped the Amazing image and extra words onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock and cut it out with the next smallest Stitched Nested Label die. I then cut another Stitched Nested die using Calypso Coral CS ( in the same size as the origianl die cut and glued my stamped image to this piece.
6. Then I closed the card with the Z fold tucked inside.
7. I put Tear and Tape through the window on the right side and adhered the shape in the window and pressed down on the right side. When the card opens the shape should be adhered to the Z fold.

To decorate the remainder of the card, I stamped the balloon image using Night of Navy on the front of the card, Punched out Balloon Punches using Bonanza Buddies DSP ( I punched two of each balloon so I could have the same DSP deisgn showing inside and outside of the card) and silver thread and embellished with Self-Adhesive Sequins.
