Festive Friday: Sending a Jar Full of Cheer!

After a brief rest from Festive Friday (end-of-school exhaustion is real!), I’m back and excited to share this vibrant Christmas card featuring the brand-new Jar of Joy stamp set — an Online Exclusive you won’t find in any catalogue!

I lThis cheerful card came together using the following festive favourites:

🎄 Take a Bow 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper – Last Chance item
🎄 Pearlized Enamel Effects Basics – Last Chance item
🎄 Iridescent Pearls – for a subtle holiday sparkle

The adorable jar is filled with gingerbread cookies and festive treats, and the sentiment “Sending a jar full of cheer” adds the perfect seasonal message. I layered strips of DSP to create a fun, playful background and popped the jar up with dimensionals for added interest.

Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #466 – Cheers & Sips Colour Challenge

Hello crafty friends!
I’m so excited to share this cheerful creation for this week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments Colour Challenge #466, featuring the fun trio:

I used the Cheers & Sips stamp set and dies—perfect for summer celebrations, patio parties, or just spreading sunshine in an envelope!

🍹 Design Details:

  • Stamp Set & Dies: Cheers & Sips bundle
  • Designer Series Paper: Celebratory Sips DSP (fussy cut the drink from the DSP)
  • Cardstock Colours: Strawberry Slush base, accent layer in Coastal Cabana
  • Embossing Folder: Glass & Gardens (adds perfect subtle texture behind the drinks)
  • Sentiment Label: Stylish Shapes Dies
  • Embellishments: 2025–2027 In Color Flat Pearls (in Strawberry Slush)

💡 Tips & Tricks:

🎨 DSP Hack:
I coloured right on the Cloud Cover umbrella print from the DSP using a Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend—it helped balance the colour challenge beautifully and brought new life to a neutral element!

🖌️ Embossing Tip:
Use the Glass & Gardens Embossing Folder to add just the right amount of elegant texture—perfect for grounding bold images like these sassy summer sips.

✨ Colour Balance:
Keep bright combos cohesive by repeating each colour in multiple places—like background layers, embellishments, and accents—without overwhelming the eye.

Here is a full list of the supplies I used:

This card is sweet, sassy, and so fun to make! I’d love for you to play along with HSS466—come join the challenge here: Hand Stamped Sentiments blog

Throwback Thursday: A Sweet Elephant Surprise

This week’s Throwback Thursday card brings all the heartwarming feels with a gentle nod to the past. I used the retired Wildly Happy stamp set—one of my all-time favourites for baby cards. Those adorable elephants are stamped in Basic Gray and softly coloured with Smoky Slate Blends, making them the perfect centrepiece for this new baby design.

To keep the card fresh and on-trend, I paired the stamped panel with the cheerful floral print from the 2025–2027 In Color 6×6 Designer Series Paper. The soft Timid Tiger background gives just the right pop of warmth and coordinates beautifully with the sweet Lost Lagoon sentiment:

“So tiny…so small…so loved by all.”

The finishing touch? Sparkle! I added a trio of the new Strawberry Slush and Pretty in Pink Gems—they catch the light and add just a bit of shimmer without overwhelming the soft colour palette.

🌟 Design Details:

  • Stamp Set: Retired Wildly Happy
  • Ink: Basic Gray and Lost Lagoon
  • Colouring: Smoky Slate Blends
  • DSP: 2025–2027 In Color 6×6 Designer Series Paper
  • Embellishments: Strawberry Slush and Pretty in Pink Gems
  • Cardstock: Basic White, Lost Lagoon (layering strip)

💡 Tip: When using DSP as a card panel, cut your layering cardstock and DSP into strips and layer them behind the elephants. It saves paper and nobody will ever know!

✨ Whether you’re making cards to welcome a little one or simply revisiting favourite stamp sets, blending retired treasures with current supplies is a fun and budget-friendly way to craft.

Encircled With Love Cards – GDP501 Colour Challenge

During today’s Live, I shared a sweet and summery card design featuring the Encircled With Love stamp set! I used the GDP501 Colour Challenge trio of Timid Tiger, Petal Pink, and Lost Lagoon to create two cheerful versions of the same layout.

My original sample featured the “Thank You” sentiment from the stamp set, but during the live I swapped it for the sunny “Way to Go!” Both sentiments work beautifully in this layered circle design.

✨ Key Details:

  • DSP: 2025–2027 In Color 6×6 DSP
  • Ribbon: Last Chance Petal Pink Scalloped Ribbon
  • Bling: Strawberry Slush and Pretty in Pink Gems
  • Colours: Timid Tiger, Petal Pink, Lost Lagoon

💡 Design tip: This layout is super adaptable – swap in any sentiment from the Encircled With Love set and you’ve got a card for any occasion!

📺 Watch the replay here:

🛠️ Here’s a Full List of Supplies Used:

Why I love this card:
This design is simple, elegant, and versatile—perfect for beginners but also great for mass-producing! A quick sentiment swap gives you a whole new card. My original version used the “Thank You” image, and I switched it up live with “Way to Go!” for a completely different vibe.

💡 TIP: Save cardstock by die-cutting the circle layers from the centre of the same Lost Lagoon panel used to mat your DSP! No one will ever know, and you’ll get more out of each sheet.

Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop – June 2025 Featuring the Boho Vibes Suite

Welcome back, friends! It’s time for another Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop, and this month we’re celebrating our favourite new products from the 2025–2026 Annual Catalogue. I chose to feature the Boho Vibes Suite, paired with the versatile Everyday Details Arches Dies, to create a vibrant, feel-good card.

🌟 Card Details:

  • Card base: Secret Sea cardstock
  • Rainbow: Cut using the Sunshine Vibes Dies in Berry Burst, Timid Tiger, Darling Duckling, and Strawberry Slush
  • Sentiment: Stamped in Secret Sea ink
  • Embellishments: Muted Pallette Dots from the suite
  • Layout: The rainbow is layered inside the stitched arch from the Everyday Details dies. The background DSP (also from the suite) brings a bold graphic flair that contrasts beautifully with the soft whites and vibrant rainbow.

I love how this colour palette and die combo brings instant joy and positivity—just perfect for sending good vibes!

💡 Design Tip:
Apply Adhesive Sheets to your cardstock before die-cutting the rainbow pieces. This makes it so much easier to assemble the design—no liquid glue, no sticky fingers, and perfectly clean placement every time!

Festive Friday | GDP500 CASE the Designer Challenge: Hanukkah Card

This week’s Festive Friday project is extra special! I’m joining in on the Global Design Project’s GDP500 CASE the Designer challenge — and I’ve put my own twist on Kim Fee’s beautiful Christmas card by creating a Hanukkah-themed version. That’s the fun of CASE-ing — Copy And Selectively Edit!

My card features:

🟦 Florals in Bloom DSP — the bold Secret Sea print really pops!
💙 Stamps in Night of Navy ink — classic and crisp for that star-studded look.
🎀 Night of Navy & Gold Glittered Ribbon — a long-time fave that’s now on the Last Chance list! Don’t miss it.
Loose Gold Sequins — perfect for a touch of sparkle.

This layout is so versatile — it was fun to take inspiration from Kim’s Christmas card and use it to celebrate another beautiful holiday.

🎨 CASE Tip: Keep the bold sentiment and balanced background while swapping out colors, occasion, or embellishments to make the design your own.

Gamer Birthday Card with Fun Fold | Stampin’ Up! Throwback Thursday

Welcome to this week’s Throwback Thursday, where I feature a fun mix of current Stampin’ Up! products with some retired favourites! This week’s card was created for my video game–loving son’s 17th birthday—and I couldn’t resist pulling out the retired Level Complete stamp set to make something truly personal.

✂️ Design Details:

  • Card Base: Secret Sea cardstock, 5 ½” X 6-3/4″, scored at 4-1/4″ .
  • DSP Layers: Florals in Bloom 12×12 DSP on the front panel, and a custom-stamped Cloud Cover panel inside featuring repeated gamer icons from the stamp set.
  • Focal Point: The video game controller from Level Complete, stamped in Secret Sea Ink on Basic White and coloured subtly with Stampin’ Blends. It’s layered on die cuts from the Stylish Shapes and Spotlight on Nature Dies, with the outer layer in Secret Sea. This layer was scored about 1/2″ in and glued between the Cloud Cover and Secret Sea layers to create a flap
  • Sentiment: “Happy Birthday” is heat embossed in white on Secret Sea, then die-cut with a Stylish Shapes stitched banner.
  • Embellishments: A few2025-2027 in Color Flat Pearls add a touch of shine without making the card too “blingy” for a teen boy.

The mix of old and new really makes this card shine—and those new 2025–2027 In Colors (Secret Sea and Cloud Cover) are so versatile!

Blended Skies and Nautical Vibes with Sunrise Sailing!

This week’s Facebook Live featured the gorgeous Sunrise Sailing Bundle, an Online Exclusive from Stampin’ Up! I created a soft coastal card with a dreamy blended sunrise and stylish details.

The background sunrise was blended with Darling Duckling and Strawberry Slush on a Stylish Shapes die-cut circle, paired with a Pool Party frame and wave die cuts. The birds and sentiment were stamped and die cut in Secret Sea, tying together this breezy and elegant look. I also used the Sunrise Sailing 3D embossing folder for subtle background dimension.

💡 This bundle is perfect for summer birthdays, weddings, or retirement cards. And since it’s an Online Exclusive, you won’t find it in any catalogue!

Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #465 – Sunrise Sailing Fun Fold Card

Hello friends!
It’s time for another Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge, and this week’s sketch (#465) had me reaching for one of my new favourites—the Sunrise Sailing Bundle! I paired it with a fun fold layout and rich nautical tones to create a card that feels full of motion, encouragement, and seaside beauty.

Here’s my design for the challenge:

⛵ Card Details:

  • Base Colour: Misty Moonlight
  • DSP Background: Thoughtful Journey 6×6
  • Stamps & Dies: Sunrise Sailing bundle
  • Ink Colours: Night of Navy (for sentiment + boat), Misty Moonlight (blender brushed on embossed layer)
  • Embossing Folder: Hybrid folder (cuts and embosses in one pass!)
  • Embellishments: Iridescent Faceted Gems

This card opens in a Z-fold style, revealing a soft watercolour-style interior for your message. The front panel is accented with a stitched circle sentiment: “You’re destined for great things,” perfectly setting the tone for a card that’s ideal for graduation, a new job, or a big life adventure!

Here is a full list of the supplies I used:

💙 What I Love About This Card:

This project blends movement and meaning—from the sailboat imagery to the layered sky and sea. The Misty Moonlight ink blending over the embossed clouds and waves adds a dreamy, dimensional touch that makes this card feel like a little vacation.

🧭 Crafting Tips:

  • Use a hybrid embossing folder for crisp detail and easy layering—no second step required!
  • When blender brushing, apply ink lightly in circular motions to highlight texture without overpowering your design.
  • A Z-fold or gatefold base adds instant “wow” with minimal extra effort.
