Tropical Leaf Card

Spring Break is over and I am getting back to my usual stamping routine. Watch tomorrow on my FB page for details about the product I am featuring in my weekly Card Class To Go. For today I got a chance to put together a quick cards today using the Tropical Leaf stamp set and punch from the new Online Exclusive products!!

The card I created was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge (#FMS578)

The background was created by stamping the stems across the card front and embossing them with Clear powder. Then I used Soft Suede to lightly blend ink over top. and attach it to a piece of Soft Suede CS. The copper panel is a piece of Naturally Gilded 12 X 12 specialty DSP (also a new Online Exclusive product) which I also attached to a piece of Soft Suede CS. The leaves were punched from a piece of Copper Foil and a piece of Vellum Layering Designs. I tied them together with some Linen Thread.

Irresistible Blooms Card – GDP384

The sun is finally shining (here in Port Coquitlam) and I’m ready to get out in the garden. While I wait for the warmth of the afternoon I got into my craft room. The card I created today featured the Irresistible Blooms bundle from the new Online Exclusive products!! I used the Global Design Project challenge #384 for my layout.

I used a slightly differnt colour pallette than the Hello, Irresistible DSP. I added Bermuda Bay, Highland Heather and Fresh Freesia to go with the Pretty Peacock DSP background. I love the purples!

In the video I also showed you my original card design – it was nearly identical except for colours. I used Pear Pizzazz ink for the leaves and Flirty Flamingo ink for the blooms.

Here’s another great card with the new Enjoy the Journey Suite. It was inspired by the TGIF Challenge (#tgifc403)

I love the colours in the card and really wanted to showcase the beauty of the DSP in the suite.
