I am BANANAS for the December 2021 Paper Pumpkin. The stamp set and sentiments that come with the kit are perfect for continuing to create fun, punny cards. Here are three more alternatives using the leftover bits from the kit and some extra cardstock.

The thin striped paper on this card was actually the leftover frame from the original striped pieces. To stamp the banana I used a sticky note to create a mask – allowing me to stamp and layer the bananas to create the bunch. I coloured the bananas with Soft Suede and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.

This egg-cellent card was created using some new 2022 SAB DSP – Sunshine and Rainbows. You can earn this DSP for FREE between Jan 4 – Feb 28, 2022. See below for all the details about Sale-a-bration.

This last card also uses the new 2022 SAB DSP – Sunshine and Rainbows to create a celebratory feeling.

Sweet Conversations Card

The NEW Jan – June 2022 Mini Catalogue is almost here – you can order from it beginning Tuesday, January 4th!! This sweet card was created using products from one of the upcoming Suites.

The layout of this card was inspired by a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches (#FMS516)

This suite has dies that perfectly cut out the conversation hearts from the DSP – however once you’ve used all those up there are the stamp sets that allow you to stamp the hearts and the words separately to be able to truly mix and match colours. There is a beautiful red ribbon in this suite – but I HAD to pair this sheet of DSP up with our gorgeous Highland Heather Grosgrain Ribbon. The slight metallic shimmer to this thick ribbon makes it so fun. For just a bit more sparkle I embellished the card with the magnificent new Iridescent Rhinestones.

The banner die is also a part of the Sweet Hearts dies set – keep an eye out for it on many more projects, I can see myself using it often. I’m offering Stampin’ Up! Product Shares for the new 2022 January – June Mini Catalog.

I have five product shares available, Designer Series Paper, New Ribbon, Specialty Paper and Embellishments or you can get them all in the I WANT IT ALL share. The products are listed by name and can be seen when you receive your catalog. (Let me know if you need a catalog) Trust me….they’re amazing!!

What is a Product Share?

Have you ever been out to dinner with a friend and you can’t decide which dessert to get, so you order two different desserts then divide them between you and your friend and you also divide the cost?? This is the same thing. You get to enjoy a little bit of each of some amazing products for a portion of the price….and here’s the best part – I’m going to do all the work.

How does a Product Share Work?

You fill out the Product Share Order Request form letting me know which shares you want.
I send you an invoice to pay via Paypal or etransfer to leahdixon41@gmail.com, you’ll have up to 24 hours to pay.
You pay the invoice.
I order all the products from Stampin’ Up! to be delivered to me.
I cut or divide up the products.
I mail shares to you.
- Product shares cannot be used as your monthly club order.
- If you are local to Port Coquitlam, BC and would like to pick up your shares, I’ll remove the shipping from your invoice.

Sweet Stockings – Non Holiday Card

Time is running out to order these adorable fur babies in the Sweet Stockings Bundle. This whole suite is retiring on Jan 3rd, 2022.

I love these guys so much I just had to do a bit more creating. I am using all products from the suite to create a non Xmas card.

I used the pattern side of the DSP – skipped all the Christmas sayings and decor and added a strip of Flirty Flamingo to really move away from the holiday feel.

Holiday Mode

Hello everyone! I have taken a bit of a break from stamping – which was unexpected, but a lot of fun! My parents were able to travel from Armstrong to visit us so I dropped everything and enjoyed every minute of their company. It was one of our best Christmases ever! Great food, lots of drinks, good card games and lots of laughs. My heart is full!

We even got snow for Christmas – which made our Christmas Day walk so beautiful!

I also wanted to share a bunch of the amazing handmade cards I have received this holiday! I know I didn’t get them all in these photos and no time for credits to the amazing stampers – but hopefully some inspiration for you all! I have such talented friends!

I hope all of you had a gentle holiday – filled with whatever you needed to refill your hearts and recharge after a very different kind of a year. Big hugs to you all! (I don’t normally post family stuff – but I this was such a special week I wanted to share).

I will resume my regular stamping schedule this week – my parents safely made the drive home today.

Nothing’s Better Than a Give It A Whirl card

It is Christmas Break for me and all I have on the brain is resting, eating and drinking.

Lots of coffee, chocolate and cookies – just like this card.

All the dies used to create this card are from the Give It a Whirl die set and the stamps are from the Nothing’s Better Than stamp set. The background of this card is a piece of fabulous (not yet available – unless you are a demonstrator) Sale-a-bration DSP called Sunshine and Rainbows.

I LOAF the December Paper Pumpkin!! The kit creates 9 punny cards ( 3 each of 3 designs) – plus there are extra bits and a large stamp set to create some alternative cards.

Christmas Season – Gift Card Holders

This week I am featuring different gift card holders. I love this one since it uses DSP and is so quick and easy to make.

This design can also be easily modified for any time of the year. I love these for Teacher thank you gifts and teen birthdays.

Each gift card is created using a 4″ X 11″ piece of DSP, scored at 3″, 6″, 9″. Then you round the small end to create a nice flap.

Add tear and tape to sides of the end piece that is 3″. Then cut out the card slot and glue the end shut.

Add a piece of white cardstock inside to write on.

Next, fold it all closed, wrap a strip of coordinating 3/4″ X 8-1/2″ cardstock around the closed DSP and tape it together. Finally decorate the cardstock strip.

It’s the 14th of the month – time for another West Coast Creators Blog Hop! This one features gift card holders!! Hop around see all the amazing creations made by our team members! Leave a little love and then come back to see us again on the 14th next month!

My gift card holder is a bookmark as well. Great as a gift on it’s own or slip a coffee shop gift card into the bookmark and gift it inside a book. Perfect for teachers or the book lover on your list.

The bookmark base is 5-1/2″ X 2-1/2″, the front pocket is 3″ X 3″-1/4″ (score 1/4″ on 3 sides to fold in and tape down using tear and tape or seal + to create the pocket.

I used the soon to be retiring Frosted Gingerbread DSP, stamps and dies to create this bookmark – but you could go with any theme.

Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge # 379 – Inspiration Challenge

This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge is a holiday themed Inspiration Challenge. Take a look at all the beautiful cards created by our design team and then join the challenge.

To create this card I started by stamping the word Merry in Crumb Cake Ink on my Crumb Cake card base. Then I embossed a piece of Basic White ( 4″ X 2-3/4″) using the Checks & Dots embossing folder. I tied a piece of the Playful Pets twine trim around the Basic White like I was wrapping a parcel.
