I wanted to create a card today using an oldie, but a goodie – Snowman Season. This stamp set has carried over from last year – but I still LOVE it!

The background was a quick creation using blending brushes and then splattering it all with water from my water painter. This technique can create beautiful snowy or starry skies depending on your background colours.

Penguin Playmates DSP

Today’s card was created using some FREE Sale-a-bration DSP and a Freshly Made Sketch. YOU can earn this DSP for free as well by placing an order of $60+ between Aug 3 – Sep 30. This is my FAVOURITE time of the year!

The only part that is stamped is the sentiment from one of the soon to released stamp sets – Christmas To Remember. The rest is DSP that is cut into rectangles and the bear was fussy cut.

I used Opal Rounds as an accent, the fabulous Glittered Organdy Ribbon, and some Wink of Stella on the tummy, paws and ears of the polar bear. A little bit of sparkle always perks up a card.

All week long I am getting a head start on my Christmas cards. Today I used a Global Design Project sketch challenge to create this beautiful card.

My card features two stamp sets from the upcoming (August 3rd) Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalogue. Christmas Season and Christmas to Remember – they can be found on pg. 17 of the 2021 Aug – Dec Catalogue. If you live in Canada and don’t have your own copy of the catalogue yet, please contact me.

I created this card yesterday in a FB live. I chose the colours based on the Global Design Project #301 – Color Challenge (#GDP301). I LOVE how they go together!

The cardstock dimensions are:

Thick Basic White cardbase: 5-1/2″ X 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″

Basic White layer: 3-1/4″ X 4-1/2″

Basic White banner: 1″ X 3-1/2″

Coastal Cabana pieces: 1-1/4″ X 4-1/4″ and 1/2″ X 4-1/4″

DSP: 1″ X 4-1/4″

Scrap of Basic White: to stamp leaves.

Before the pandemic, I loved to keep small gift cards on hand to pop into a bouquet of flowers or on top of a box of chocolates. Now that restrictions are lifting here in BC I am hoping to do a lot of visiting with friends this summer – which means I’ll need these little cards again. Yay!!

Created a quick custom card today for a friend. The request was for a stack of girlfriend cards. I had a few older designs with cocktails and shoes etc… however, I was one card short – so off to my stamping table I happily went.

I never know where to start, so I chose a stamp set and then set off to find a challenge or some other inspiration. Here’s what I found:

Sweet Strawberry – 1 card 3 ways

The Sweet Strawberry Bundle is one of my favourite Stampin’ Up! products right now. They just screamed summer to me.

Today I wanted to show how one fabulous bundle can meet the needs of beginning stampers all the way up to avid stampers.

The first card uses just the Sweet Strawberry bundle, 4 inks and Basic White cardstock. The water painters were used to create a fun splatter but the same effect can be created using any wet paintbrush.

The second card adds in some different cardstock colours and some DSP.

Finally I added in some 3D embossing, die cut labels, heat embossing, cardstock layers, new kinds of adhesives and embellishments.
