The weather here in BC feels like summer and these peaches transport me to my childhood, summer days in Penticton. I created today’s card specifically for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. If you haven’t tried your hand at a sketch challenge you really should. Such a great way to design cards and sometimes really stretches your creative thinking.

I have been enjoying playing with the Sweet As A Peach bundle. I am getting ready for a Sweet As A Peach stamp camp being put on by myself and 6 other demos. There will be 14 projects total!! Cute Fruit In Colour

In Colours are the BEST! I love all the Stampin’ Up! colours, but the In-Colours always add a touch of freshness to the year.

This card features a 2020-21 In-Colour ( Magenta Madness) and a 2021-22 In-Colour ( Fresh Freesia). I created this card for the Spot Challenge #161 – Color Challenge.

New Catalogue Launch

I am SOOO excited about the NEW 2021-2022 Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalogue! Last night I launched the catalogue on my FB Page. I walked everyone through the new catalogue – showing amazing samples along the way (created by myself and other people in a team swap I participated in). I also created 3 cards live. You can see the full video below.

The first card I created featured the Party Puffins. I shared some tips on how to get a great image when stamping the puffins.

Next up I created a lovely card using the Color & Contour stamp set and dies. This card was inspired by a sketch on Freshly made Sketches (FMS484 and the Color Throwdown Challenge #641.

After creating with the Color & Contours I also couldn’t resist sharing a sample using the Party Puffins again. Can you tell I LOVE the Puffins?

Finally I created a card using the Ombre Specialty Paper, one of the fabulous dies from the Basic Border Dies and a soon to be retiring from the Mini Catalogue – Pretty Perennials stamp set. Watch the video below to see how I created the fun rainbow look on the word ‘happy’.

This card was created using my FAVOURITE set from the new offerings.

I designed this card for the Colour Challenge at Handstamped Sentiments (HSSCC363)

I even used the Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends and the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends (there isn’t a Bumblebee Blends) to create the orange on the Puffin beak.

The Flowers For Every Season Memories and More Cards and Envelopes are fabulous for creating quick and colourful cards. You get 10 cards and envelopes in the package ( 2 each of the 5 2020-2022 In Colours: Magenta madness, Just Jade, Misty Moonlight, Cinnamon Cider and Bumblebee). Strong and Beautiful Mother’s Day Card

Mother’s Day is approaching ( in just under a month’s time). So today I pulled out a favourite retiring stamp set (Strong and Beautiful) and paired it with a soon to be released new floral set (Colour and Contour). The layout of this card was inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #362.

Some of the finer details that you may not be able to see in this photo are the Dainty Diamonds embossing on the Basic Black cardstock , the coating of Wink of Stella and the fact that the flower was stamped on Shimmery White cardstock. If you want all the details check out the video below.

Playful Alphabet Birthday Fishes Card

I love creating with these Playful Alphabet Dies. The ability to create my own sentiments (especially puns) makes me smile. Using the Adhesive Sheets on the back make creating with the letters so easy as well.

The little fish were created using the walking egg die from the out of catalogue Chick Dies set. I am so excited to be able to create this since my oldest (almost 16!) STILL loves his Goldfish Crackers.

DAY 7 – STAMPIN THE RAINBOW – GREETING CARD GIFT BOX

Today’s project is the grand finale featuring GOLD! The stamp set I am using is a favourite – Pretty Perennials. I’ve paired it with Golden Garden Designer Series Acetate and Fine Art Ribbon to create a Greeting Card Gift Box.

Here are the measurements for all the parts of the box.

Gift Box

Crumb Cake cardstock

7 ⅛” x 11”
- score at 4 ¾” from each end(11” at the top)
- score at ½” and 1 ⅛” (8 ½” at the top)

3” x 7” (X2)
- score at ⅜”, 1 ⅛”, flip and repeat (7” at the top)
- score at 2 ½” (3″ at the top)

Trim and miter each pocket as seen in this photo.

Put Tear and Tape on the edges as seen in this photo. Then adhere the pockets. See video for visual.

Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper

5 ¾” x 10 ⅞”
- Score at 4 ⅝” and then line that up with the crease on the box base and hand fold the next line.
