Biggest Wish – Thank you card

1 Comment May 27, 2021 Leah Dixon - Stampin Up! Demonstrator

This week I am featuring the Biggest Wish stamp set on my Social Media. I really want to show how this set can be fun and bold or soft and elegant(ish).

Today’s card uses a colour combo inspired by the Global Design Project challenge (#GDP293 and a layout inspired by The Spot Challenge #163.

I usually try to design sticking to one suite or product bundle, but today I grabbed little bits from all over my craft room. See the full list of supplies below.

To create these sweet little gold leaves I actually cut up larger pieces from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack. I piece created leaves for my whole card.

Thanks for checking out my stamping creation today. You can create cards like this too by grabbing your supplies using the image links below, or join my team to get access to tons of inspiration. The Stampin’ Up! Starter Kit is always an AMAZING deal!

Biggest Wish

Today’s card was a bit of a journey. I started out trying to create just a quick Catalogue Inspiration card for the TGIF Challenge #TGIFC317

Instead, I ended up smudging some black ink on the DSP of this card. I have to add some extra stamping to the card to cover up my smudges. In the end, it’s not my favourite card – but better than a nice card with a smudge on the front.

Here you can see the card I had envisioned, and the card I ended up creating to save the DSP.

If you’d like to see the whole process, check out my video below. You can also always join me at 9am (ish) on Tuesday mornings to see the live videos and chat with me while I create.

Have A Peachy Day

4 Comments May 16, 2021 Leah Dixon - Stampin Up! Demonstrator

The weather here in BC feels like summer and these peaches transport me to my childhood, summer days in Penticton. I created today’s card specifically for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. If you haven’t tried your hand at a sketch challenge you really should. Such a great way to design cards and sometimes really stretches your creative thinking.

I have been enjoying playing with the Sweet As A Peach bundle. I am getting ready for a Sweet As A Peach stamp camp being put on by myself and 6 other demos. There will be 14 projects total!! Registration has ended; however I still have two spots remaining for Option 2 and unlimited spots for people in the U.S. to order the PDF and attend the online portion. Click the image below for all the details.

Cute Fruit In Colour

1 Comment May 15, 2021 Leah Dixon - Stampin Up! Demonstrator

In Colours are the BEST! I love all the Stampin’ Up! colours, but the In-Colours always add a touch of freshness to the year.

This card features a 2020-21 In-Colour ( Magenta Madness) and a 2021-22 In-Colour ( Fresh Freesia). I created this card for the Spot Challenge #161 – Color Challenge.

Check out all the new In-Colours on-line here.

If you love them, there is still time to join my In Colour Club ( deadline says May 10th – so you may not get your first month’s packet in advance, but you’ll be right on schedule for the next 4 months!)

New Catalogue Launch

4 Comments May 8, 2021 Leah Dixon - Stampin Up! Demonstrator

I am SOOO excited about the NEW 2021-2022 Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalogue! Last night I launched the catalogue on my FB Page. I walked everyone through the new catalogue – showing amazing samples along the way (created by myself and other people in a team swap I participated in). I also created 3 cards live. You can see the full video below.

The first card I created featured the Party Puffins. I shared some tips on how to get a great image when stamping the puffins.

Next up I created a lovely card using the Color & Contour stamp set and dies. This card was inspired by a sketch on Freshly made Sketches (FMS484 and the Color Throwdown Challenge #641.

After creating with the Color & Contours I also couldn’t resist sharing a sample using the Party Puffins again. Can you tell I LOVE the Puffins?

Finally I created a card using the Ombre Specialty Paper, one of the fabulous dies from the Basic Border Dies and a soon to be retiring from the Mini Catalogue – Pretty Perennials stamp set. Watch the video below to see how I created the fun rainbow look on the word ‘happy’.

Live in Canada? You can get a make’n’take pack (which includes the cardstock and specialty paper bits as well as the embellishments needed to make the three cards I made in the video) plus a mystery embellishment as a little thank you from me if you place a $60+ order using my host code: BWWEEQGM before Sunday night.

You can also enter to win the three cards by filling in my Door Prize draw form.

Here are some quick links to all the events I have coming up. You definitely don’t want to miss ANY of them!!

Party Puffins Birthday Card

We have a new catalogue that launched today – you can use the link in the sidebar to view it!!

This card was created using my FAVOURITE set from the new offerings.

I designed this card for the Colour Challenge at Handstamped Sentiments (HSSCC363)

I even used the Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends and the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends (there isn’t a Bumblebee Blends) to create the orange on the Puffin beak.

You can see all the details of how I created this card in the video below.

Please also check out all of my upcoming events – you can see the full list on my home page of this blog or under events at https://leahdixon.stampinup.net/

Memories & More Cards and Envelopes

Leave a comment April 27, 2021 Leah Dixon - Stampin Up! Demonstrator

The Flowers For Every Season Memories and More Cards and Envelopes are fabulous for creating quick and colourful cards. You get 10 cards and envelopes in the package ( 2 each of the 5 2020-2022 In Colours: Magenta madness, Just Jade, Misty Moonlight, Cinnamon Cider and Bumblebee). There are two things I especially love about these cards – they have white linings on the cards and colourful linings on the envelopes. These two touches I think make a card very polished.

The card I created today uses primarily retiring products – the card base, DSP, ribbon and stamp set. Check out the links below to see the FABULOUS sale prices as well. Don’t wait – these are available while supplies last or until May3rd.

To see all the details of how I created this card you can check out my video. Please subscribe to my You Tube channel while you are there. Thanks!

Many of these products are on sale ( the sale prices are not reflected here on this blog). If you use the host code: BWWEEQGM I will also send you a fun mystery embellishment.

Mother’s Day is approaching ( in just under a month’s time). So today I pulled out a favourite retiring stamp set (Strong and Beautiful) and paired it with a soon to be released new floral set (Colour and Contour). The layout of this card was inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #362.

Some of the finer details that you may not be able to see in this photo are the Dainty Diamonds embossing on the Basic Black cardstock , the coating of Wink of Stella and the fact that the flower was stamped on Shimmery White cardstock. If you want all the details check out the video below.

Playful Alphabet Birthday Fishes Card

Leave a comment March 23, 2021 Leah Dixon - Stampin Up! Demonstrator

I love creating with these Playful Alphabet Dies. The ability to create my own sentiments (especially puns) makes me smile. Using the Adhesive Sheets on the back make creating with the letters so easy as well.

The little fish were created using the walking egg die from the out of catalogue Chick Dies set. I am so excited to be able to create this since my oldest (almost 16!) STILL loves his Goldfish Crackers.

To see exactly how I created this, check out my video on You Tube. Make sure to subscribe while you are there.

In the video I mentioned an upcoming FREE workshop on April 10th. You can join my Online Workshop page for monthly FREE workshops. https://www.facebook.com/groups/OnlineStampinWorkshopWithLeah
