Biggest Wish – Acetate Transfer Technique

This was created for the TGIF Challenge #318. The challenge was to use Stampin’ Blends. I decided to try out a technique I’ve wanted to try for awhile called Acetate Transfer Technique.

To create this background I scribbled on a piece of acetate (just a piece left over from one of my stamp sets) with a Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend and a Polished Pink Stampin’ Blend. Then I spritzed the coloured acetate generously with Rubbing Alcohol and flipped it over onto a piece of Basic White cardstock. You can get a different look every time using this technique. I love how the colours blended to create a purple too.

After it dried, I stamped the sentiment using Night of Navy ink, flicked Wink of Stella across the card and then continued with all the normal, ribbon, layer, embellish stuff. You’ll find a whole supply list below.

New Catalogue Launch

I am SOOO excited about the NEW 2021-2022 Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalogue! Last night I launched the catalogue on my FB Page. I walked everyone through the new catalogue – showing amazing samples along the way (created by myself and other people in a team swap I participated in). I also created 3 cards live. You can see the full video below.

The first card I created featured the Party Puffins. I shared some tips on how to get a great image when stamping the puffins.

Next up I created a lovely card using the Color & Contour stamp set and dies. This card was inspired by a sketch on Freshly made Sketches (FMS484 and the Color Throwdown Challenge #641.

After creating with the Color & Contours I also couldn’t resist sharing a sample using the Party Puffins again. Can you tell I LOVE the Puffins?

Finally I created a card using the Ombre Specialty Paper, one of the fabulous dies from the Basic Border Dies and a soon to be retiring from the Mini Catalogue – Pretty Perennials stamp set. Watch the video below to see how I created the fun rainbow look on the word ‘happy’.

Live in Canada? You can get a make’n’take pack (which includes the cardstock and specialty paper bits as well as the embellishments needed to make the three cards I made in the video) plus a mystery embellishment as a little thank you from me if you place a $60+ order using my host code: BWWEEQGM before Sunday night.

You can also enter to win the three cards by filling in my Door Prize draw form.

Here are some quick links to all the events I have coming up. You definitely don’t want to miss ANY of them!!

Cute Fruit – Sweetest Friend

This adorable stamp set is actually not in our main catalogue – it can only be found in our Beginner’s Brochure. It is the easiest stamp set to create with as the images are bold and don’t require any colouring. They line up easily for stamping and are SO CUTE!

I did add a bit of a more advanced technique tot his one by heat embossing the sentiment.

Yet again the inspiration for this card came from a sketch challenge – my favourite way to design. This one was the TGIF Challenge #285

Happy Stampin!

Love of Leaves – 1 card 3 ways

I had a great time this morning creating a simple card and then slowly making it more detailed and interesting.

I truly love all 3 cards ( I am a sucker for a good simple stamping card – the busy mom that I am I NEED fast a beautiful cards to create).

Here are the three levels of creation. From Beginner, to casual crafter, to avid crafter.

2 inks, 2 cardstock and some adhesive – simple as can be!
Same card – but add some sponging and an embellishment.
Final version I added some die cutting and some heat embossing.

I simply adore the Love of Leaves bundle. The stitching is such an easy thing to add to the cards and makes a huge impact on the look of a card. You can see the video of how I created these cards on my FB page.
