Leave a comment December 28, 2020 Leah Dixon - Stampin Up! Demonstrator

Happy Monday!! The holidays are such a treat – extra time to stamp! I have been playing with some soon to be released stamps ( we have a new catalogue being released on January 5th!).

The set I have used today is called Sweet Ice Cream. It is part of a whole Ice Cream Corner suite including DSP (you can see a bit of it on this card), ribbon, sprinkles and an ice cream punch. You will LOVE it!

Below I have posted the available product that I used (the stamp set and DSP are only available to demonstrators for now – contact me on Jan 5th to order yours or before that if you want to grab a starter kit and add these items asap).

You can also register for the Sweet Ice Cream Weekend Stamp Camp that I am presenting at! Click here for all the details.

In the Pines – #TGIFC295

Leave a comment December 22, 2020 Leah Dixon - Stampin Up! Demonstrator

I was inspired to create again this week by this TGIF Challenge.

This card uses some retiring product and gives you a sneak peek of a brand new embellishment – the Black Matte Resin Dots. I see a lot of these being used in my stamping future!

Another great feature of this card is that it does not use any of my small stock of remaining Whisper White cardstock. Whisper White cardstock is still available – with a limit of 2 per person. Contact me to order yours or place an order using the host code: UH6R3FVD

Snowman Season Massive Thanks!

2 Comments December 21, 2020 Leah Dixon - Stampin Up! Demonstrator

School is out which means I have days off now!! I have mailed and delivered, shopped, wrapped and started to prep food. The only thing left to do is prepare our Thank you cards. Since we won’t be giving massive hugs to grandparents as we open gifts I am going to have the kids write good old fashioned Thank you cards, with a teen twist.

The inspiration/sketch for this card came from the Freshly Made Sketch – 466 (#FMS466) To see all the details of how I made this card you can watch the You Tube video posted below.

Here are the basic measurements:

Pretty Peacock CS – 4.25″ X 11″, score at 5.5″

Pool Party – 4″ X 5.25″

Whisper White – 3.75″ X 2.75″ and 4″ X 5.25″ for the inside

Silver Foil – 0.5″ X 2.5″ (two of these)

The teen twist comes with the sentiment in the card:

Ornamental Envelopes – retiring soon!

1 Comment December 15, 2020 Leah Dixon - Stampin Up! Demonstrator

The holidays are approaching quickly. I am going to create just a few more cards featuring some of my favourite sets that are retiring soon ( while supplies last or until January 4th). The set I am using this week is Ornamental Envelopes Bundle.

I love this set because it is easy to use and it has so many small details that make cards fabulous – such as the lines for the envelopes.

I created this cards using a sketch from the TGIF challenge #TGIFC294. If you follow my blog you will know that my favourite way to create cards is by using sketches.

If you want all the details of how I made this card you can watch my You Tube video.

Today’s card was created with the colour challenge from Handstamped Sentiments in mind. I also wanted to highlight some of the soon to be retiring product and some items that are on sale right now. The list is huge right now! Here is a visual pdf or go to my last blog entry for clickable images.

I love these ornaments and how quickly you can create beautiful images. Using the Wink of Stella to carry the ink colour also creates some amazing looking ornaments.

1 Comment December 5, 2020 Leah Dixon - Stampin Up! Demonstrator

With the year coming to an end (Goodbye 2020!) Stampin’ Up! is offering huge discounts on some retiring products.

Here is a pdf of the retiring items (I have removed the french versions from the list for simplicity – but yes those are retiring as well.)

giant-year-end-close-out-sale Download

For the visual people in the group here are links to all the retiring product – remember the discounted prices won’t go into efffect until Dec 8th! Whiskey Business – An Old-Fashioned Christmas Card

Leave a comment November 10, 2020 Leah Dixon - Stampin Up! Demonstrator

I am moving into full Christmas card mode as I get ready to send out a handmade holiday greeting to all of my students at school, my co-workers, friends, and family. I do have a number of Whiskey lovers in my family – so this stamp set was a MUST for birthdays, Father’s Day and now of course – Christmas. Maybe I can even find a way to make a Valentine’s card with this set. Hmmm…

Anyways, you can see how I made this card in my You Tube video below or on my FB page.

Here is a close up view of the Wink of Stella on the glass and decanter. Such a great touch!

If you love this card – you can contact me to purchase it, or you can grab all the supplies you need to make your own fabulous handmade holiday cards.
