1 Layout, 3 Cards – Featuring Celebratory Sips DSP!

This week, I took on the Global Design Project Challenge #GDP496 by CASE-ing the designer with a fun twist: using one layout to create three unique cards – each with a different stamp set, but all showcasing the Celebratory Sips DSP and Holographic Foil Resin Dots!

This kind of layout challenge is my favourite way to spark creativity. It keeps design decisions simple while allowing for endless variation. Here’s a closer look at each card:

🍹 Cheers & Sips Card

Bright, summery, and refreshing! I paired cocktail images from the Cheers & Sips bundle with Soft Sea Foam cardstock and Old Olive DSP. The embossed panel adds just the right texture.

🐷 Party Piggy Card

How fun is this little pig?! The Party Piggy stamp set brings such whimsy to the same layout. I swapped in a cheerful orange stripe for a party-perfect look.

🦋 Beautiful Butterflies Card

This third card has a completely different vibe – rich Secret Sea and sweet Strawberry Slush and Petunia Pop butterflies from Beautiful Butterflies make this one elegant and eye-catching. Same layout, totally different feel!

All three cards use the same:
✔️ Celebratory Sips DSP
✔️ Holographic Foil Resin Dots
✔️ Layout from GDP496

Cheers to You! Featuring the Celebratory Sips Suite

Let’s raise a glass! 🥂

In today’s Facebook Live, I shared a bright and cheerful card using the Celebratory Sips Suite—which also happens to be the featured suite for my upcoming Celebratory Sips Mega Stamp Camp. I couldn’t resist creating with these adorable drink images and fun textures.

Here’s a closer look at the card:

👉 I started with an Old Olive card base and added a Glass & Gardens embossed background (I love how it adds subtle texture!).
👉 The drinks were fussy cut from the DSP in the suite—aren’t they adorable?
👉 I layered them onto a Soft Sea Foam Everyday Arch, stamped some Old Olive mint leaves behind for extra greenery, and tied it together with that stunning Gold Striped Ribbon.
👉 For sparkle, I used the Holographic Resin Dots—love the shine they give!
👉 The sentiment, stamped in Blackberry Bliss, pops perfectly against the soft background.

You can catch the replay of today’s Live on You Tube—let me know what you think of this card!

💡 Why I love this suite:
The Celebratory Sips Suite makes it SO easy to create cards for birthdays, brunches, and summer parties. The fun drink imagery, fresh colour palette, and versatile sentiments mean you can use it year-round. Plus, the matching DSP makes designing quick and easy—just cut, layer, and go!

Global Design Project #GDP490 – Happy Hibiscus Birthday Card

Hello, crafty friends! It’s time for another Global Design Project challenge, and this week’s #GDP490 is a sketch challenge. I love using sketches as a starting point for creativity, and today’s card features the stunning Happy Hibiscus Bundle, an Online Exclusive that’s perfect for creating tropical, floral-inspired designs.

Here’s the card I created:

For this challenge, I wanted to highlight the bold hibiscus flower as the focal point. The Happy Hibiscus stamp set and coordinating dies make it easy to create dimensional, layered floral elements. Here’s a breakdown of the card design:

Color Palette: Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Flirty Flamingo, and Basic White
Embossing & Texture: I used an embossed white panel with delicate floral details to add depth to the background.
Patterned Paper: A rustic woodgrain-style Country Woods 12 X12 Designer Series Paper brings contrast and interest.
Embellishments: Twisted Gold Thread adds a touch of elegance, while Iridescent Foil Gems provide subtle sparkle.
Sentiment: The ‘Happy Birthday’ greeting (from the last-chance Keeping Tabs stamp set) is stamped in Crumb Cake ink, keeping it soft and cohesive with the natural tones.

I love how this card turned out—it’s a great mix of texture, elegance, and tropical vibes!

Pastel Birthday Card for the Global Design Project Colour Challenge (#GDP489)!

This week’s Global Design Project colour challenge (#GDP489) inspired me to create a birthday card with the soft, pastel hues of Bubble Bath, Soft Sea Foam, and Lemon Lolly. These delicate colours are perfect for a celebratory and cheerful design.

Here’s the card I created:

I started with the Textured Notes Dies, using the eyelet die to create a custom mask. With a blending brush and Bubble Bath Ink, I blended a soft background onto the die-cut base for a lovely textured look.

For the floral accents, I swiped Soft Sea Foam Cardstock with Soft Sea Foam Ink and repeated the process with Lemon Lolly Ink on Lemon Lolly Cardstock. These inked layers were used to cut the smaller accent pieces for the flowers and leaves, while the bases were die-cut from uninked cardstock to create contrast. The flowers were assembled with Liquid Glue and then attached to the card front with Dimensionals, and the leaves glued together, then they were tucked under with Mini Glue Dots for a layered effect.

The sentiment took center stage with a die-cut “wishing” from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock backed with adhesive sheets. To complete the sentiment, I stamped “you the happiest birthday” onto Bubble Bath Cardstock using Versamark Ink, then heat embossed it with white embossing powder for a clean elegant look. This was die-cut with the label die from the Delightful Wishes Bundle and adhered with Mini Dimensionals.

Finally, I added a sprinkle of Bubble Bath Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots for a polished and celebratory finish. This birthday card showcases the dreamy pastel palette beautifully and is perfect for sharing warm wishes!

1 Layout, 3 Cards – March 2025 Replay!

In today’s 1 Layout, 3 Cards episode, I showcased how a single card sketch can inspire three distinct designs. This month, I used the sketch from page 22 of the Annual Catalogue and had so much fun bringing it to life with different themes!

Here’s a closer look at the three cards I created:

Lemon Lime Twist Birthday Card – I paired the One More Year stamp set with a Pastel Ombre Glimmer Paper banner for a pop of shimmer. The background is fully stamped with a repeating birthday sentiment for a bold and festive look! Watch the replay for tips on stamping the sentiment and colouring the Antique Pearls.

Storybook Easter Card – A sweet, vintage-style card featuring the Storybook Moments DSP critters and a sentiment from Storybook Friends. The soft plaid background adds the perfect cozy touch for spring!

Striped Birthday Card – This one has a softer, more elegant feel with the Painted Stripes background stamp (stamped in Boho Blue, which is retiring soon!). The floral elements come from the Delightful Wishes bundle, stamped in Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green.

All three cards include:
🎀 A banner die-cut from the largest Nested Essentials banner
🎀 Coordinating Baker’s Twine from the Three Color Pack
🎀 Finished with Antique Pearls

Coast to Coast Blog Hop – March 2025 Colour Challenge

Hello, crafty friends! 🌸 Welcome to this month’s Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop, where we’re diving into a beautiful colour challenge that has us feeling all the soft, dreamy vibes of spring! This month, I created a delicate floral card using the Year of Flowers stamp set paired with the Beautiful Bokeh DSP—and I am in love with the results! 💙💜💖

This challenge pushed me outside my comfort zone in the best way, and I hope it inspires you to create something fresh and fun! Let’s take a closer look at my project.

🌿 Card Details & Supplies Used

For this card, I wanted to highlight the stunning colours in this challenge while keeping the design soft and elegant. I chose:

Stamp Set: Year of Flowers
Paper: Beautiful Bokeh DSP, Basic White Cardstock
Colours: Balmy Blue Ink, Watercolour Pencils (White, Melon Mambo, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight)
Embellishments: Iridescent Faceted Gems and Basics Wow! Embossing Powder

Here’s how I put it all together:

1️⃣ Background: I layered two soft Beautiful Bokeh DSP panel onto my card base. The blurred effect of this paper adds so much depth without extra work—so dreamy! ✨At the bottom of the card I stamped the daisy in Balmy Blue Ink and lightly coloured with Watercolour Pencils.

2️⃣ Focal Image: I stamped the daisy from Year of Flowers in Memento Black ink and coloured it with Watercolour Pencils for a soft effect.

3️⃣ Sentiment: The sentiment “Happy Birthday” (also from Year of Flowers) is stamped in Balmy Blue Ink. The larger sentiment is stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

4️⃣ Finishing Touches: A few Iridescent Faceted Gems complete the look!

🎨 Playing with Colour Challenges

Colour challenges are a great way to step out of your creative routine and explore new palettes! This one had me mixing soft pastels in a way I hadn’t tried before, and I love how they blend together so seamlessly.

What do you think of this colour combo? Would you try it?

Birthday Sunshine & Rainbows for GDP487!

I’m so excited to share my latest creation for this week’s Global Design Project Challenge (#GDP487)! The theme this week is Sunshine & Rainbows ☀️🌈☂️, and I had so much fun bringing this cheerful inspiration to life in my card.

Here’s the card I created:

The Design

I wanted to capture the bright and happy vibes of sunshine and rainbows, so I used the Happiest Day stamp set along with a blend of bold and vibrant colours! The left panel features a rainbow of stars, which I created by stamping the star image repeatedly and blending the colours seamlessly with Blending Brushes.

Here’s the colour lineup I used to create this beautiful gradient:
🎨 Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Peach Pie, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Coastal Cabana, Azure Afternoon, Highland Heather, Fresh Freesia, and Berry Burst!

To add some extra sparkle, I incorporated a strip of Pastel Ombre Glimmer Paper and some Iridescent Faceted Gems. The sentiment, ‘Wishing You the Happiest Birthday,’ is heat embossed in white on a Coastal Cabana circle, die-cut from the Spotlight on Nature Dies. And of course, I couldn’t resist adding a popped-up dragonfly from the Happiest Day set—a little extra whimsy to finish it off!

Why I Love This Layout

One of my favourite things about this design is its versatility! By simply changing the colours or sentiment, this layout could work for so many different occasions—think thank you cards, baby showers, or even encouragement notes. The blended background technique is a fantastic way to make any card pop with colour!

Here is a full list of the supplies I used:

Versamark Pad
$13.00
Paper Trimmer
$39.00
Simply Shammy
$12.25
