Sweet Strawberry in a Farmhouse Chic Style

Summer is here!! The crazy heat here in BC (over 41C) meant no school today (the last day of school for my own class and my younger kids). It was too hot to even go outside and swim – so of course I went to the basement to stamp πŸ™‚

This card was inspired by the delicious strawberries growing in my yard and by these two challenges:

I love creating cards with lots of layers, textures and colours. This one is no different. I used blending brushes, an embossing folder, water painter, DSP, punches and embellishments. A full list of supplies is below. Basically though, the white layer was lightly coloured using Highland Heather with a blending brush and then embossed with Brick and Mortar. I should have splattered it all with Gorgeous Grape ink at this point ( but I forgot so had to do it at the end and cover up the strawberries with scrap paper so they wouldn’t get splattered). The strawberries were inked with Poppy Parade (full strength for the outline and 2nd generation for the inside). The stems are Granny Apple Green full strength for outline and inside. They were attached with Dimensionals.

Daisy Garden Peek-a-boo window card

The hot weather is here and summer vacation is about to begin. I love this time of year since everything starts to feel a bit more relaxed. I can even usually find a few minutes in the morning to get into my garden before going to work. This is the first year ever I have actually grown daisies in my garden. I LOVE them!! A beautiful pop of white amongst what is mostly green at this time of year.

Today’s card was inspired by my garden and the two challenges below. Click the images if you want to see the full challenge.

Here is the card I created. To see a full video with all the details of how I made it scroll down.

Using a mix of colouring tools (Stampin’ Blends, water painter, blender pens) allows me to create exactly the look I want. Plus this card is simple enough that can make a bunch of them to quickly send out to customers and my stampin’ team. What other colour scheme can you imagine these flowers in?

Biggest Wish – Thank you card

This week I am featuring the Biggest Wish stamp set on my Social Media. I really want to show how this set can be fun and bold or soft and elegant(ish).

Today’s card uses a colour combo inspired by the Global Design Project challenge (#GDP293 and a layout inspired by The Spot Challenge #163.

I usually try to design sticking to one suite or product bundle, but today I grabbed little bits from all over my craft room. See the full list of supplies below.

To create these sweet little gold leaves I actually cut up larger pieces from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack. I piece created leaves for my whole card.

Thanks for checking out my stamping creation today. You can create cards like this too by grabbing your supplies using the image links below, or join my team to get access to tons of inspiration. The Stampin’ Up! Starter Kit is always an AMAZING deal!

Pretty Perennials

This morning I created two fun cards using the soon to be retiring Pretty Perennials bundle. I added in a bunch of Stampin’ Up!’s new In Colors. Fresh Freesia and Soft Succulent work so well with Highland Heather and Pool Party.

After my FB Live this morning, I played around with the same layout using one of my other favourite retiring products – Fine Art Floral DSP. I made sure to use my favourite stamp from this set – the awesome “happy” and paired it with the Birthday for the Global Design Project Theme Challenge (#GDP291)

If you’d like to see the details of how I created the Fresh Freesia card, check out my video. If you enjoy it please subscribe to my you tube channel.

Don’t miss out on any of the soon to retiring product from our Mini Catalogue. See all the Mini Catalogue Items here.

Wildly Happy Baby Card

I LOVE having a reason to create and when I created this card I actually had 3 reasons to make it!

Most importantly – my cousin and his wife just welcomed their first child into the world – Welcome Harriet Batchelor!

Secondly I wanted to participate in two different challenges. The Global Design Project (#GDP286) and the Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge (#HSSIC361).

My third reason to create this card was to highlight some of our soon to be retiring products from Stampin Up! I don’t want to miss out on a minute of playing with some of my favourite supplies. I also don’t want you to miss out on grabbing these while you still can! See below for a full list of supplies used ( and click the links to purchase – some even have sale pricing right now!)

For all the details on how I created this card check out my video below or pop over to my Facebook page. Will you are there, make sure to follow or subscribe to my page so you get notified every Tuesday when I post a new project.
