There’s something special about a handmade card with a simple, heartfelt message, and the Kindred Greetings Paper Pumpkin kit is all about sending those thoughtful cards when they’re needed most.

For my alternate design, I stepped away from the original card layouts and paired the Kindred Greetings stamp set with the Botanical Expressions Dies.

I used the Botanical Expressions Dies to create the beautiful leafy background, keeping the overall card soft and monochromatic. I also added a little 2nd generation stamping speckle to the stamped foliage and some delicate butterfly embellishments for a touch of whimsy.

I love how changing the layout and adding a few supplies from my craft room can give a Paper Pumpkin kit a completely different look!

The card base was scored at 2″, 3-1/8″, 5-3/8″ and 6-1/2″ (which is not what I said in the video – sorry!)

One of my favourite things about Paper Pumpkin is discovering just how far you can stretch the supplies. You can follow the instructions exactly as designed, or use the exclusive stamps and pieces to create something completely your own.

October 2025 Paper Pumpkin – Cozy Christmas Unboxing & Alternative Ideas

If you love cozy, classic Christmas designs, you’re going to adore the October 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Cozy Christmas! This month’s kit includes everything you need to create beautifully coordinated Christmas cards with traditional colors, flocked accents, and festive greetings.

For my alternatives, I used:

Traditional Sparkling Sequins (I didn’t use these – but a great alternative if you run out of the kit sequins)

For my alternatives, I played with textures, layers, and a touch of shimmer:

The **JOY card** features a fun stencil technique! I used the negative frames from the die-cut letters and a **blending brush** to softly blend the letters onto the extra frame.

I used second generation ink to stamp the snowflakes on the die cut circle and I finished this card with gold striped mesh **ribbon** for a festive sparkle.

The background is embossed with the Forever Plaid 3D embossing folder. The **green leaves** come from the **Abundant Joy die add-on**, adding extra depth and dimension.

Whether you stick with the original designs or create your own alternatives, this kit is perfect for spreading handmade joy this holiday season.

June’s Full of Charm Paper Pumpkin kit is bursting with beauty—and I had such a blast diving into it on today’s Facebook Live! We started by unboxing the kit, then moved right into creating two bright and beautiful alternatives using the contents in fresh, creative ways

✨ Card 1 is a clean and elegant layout featuring the Pretty Peacock leaf die cuts, gold foil splatter background from the kit, and an extra circle from the kit with a Pretty Peacock sentiment popped up with dimensionals. The Berry Burst border adds just the right pop!

🌸 Card 2 features an elevated, layered design with gold foil stripes, stamped background leaves, and a bright Berry Burst-cut floral focal point. Both designs use the sentiment “Let’s Celebrate You”—perfect for birthdays, graduations, or any reason to cheer someone on!

Beyond the Box: Alternate May 2025 Paper Pumpkin Cards – Mountain Majesties

If you loved the May 2025 Paper Pumpkin kit, you’re going to love these three alternative card ideas! Today I’m sharing how I used leftover pieces from the kit—along with the Hugs Abloom add-on dies introduced last month—to create masculine cards perfect for birthdays, Father’s Day, and more.

Here’s are my alternative cards:

🎨 Alternative Card 1: Reflected Wilderness

This card pairs a serene lake scene with deep blue layers for a nature-inspired masculine birthday card. I cut apart one of the original card bases and added it to a crisp white, then stamped the bird image across both panels for balance. The Happy Birthday sentiment is stamped and die-cut using the Hugs Abloom add-on dies. Finally, I embellished the card with Neutral Matte Dots.

💡 Tip: Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up your sentiment for extra depth.

🌿 Alternative Card 2: Rolling Hills Landscape

This soft and serene design came together with extra pieces from the kit. I used one of the pre-printed sky and rolling hills panels and stamped birds and a birthday greeting using Misty Moonlight ink. Then I emebllished with Neutral Matte Dots.

⛰ Alternative Card 3: Earth Tone Layers for a Wonderful Man

This card features a pre-printed landscape layer in warm neutrals and cool blues for a striking scenic look. The sentiment “To a wonderful man” was cut using the stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes die set. Finally the card was embellished with Neutral Matte Dots.
