Playful Alphabet Christmas Card Sketch

You all know I LOVE a good Card Sketch – so I had to play along with Freshly Made sketches today.

I wanted to create a blue and silver Christmas card – but couldn’t find a blue DSP in my stash that felt like Christmas. So I created my own using the Festive Foliage stamp set. I embossed it with white and then dipped the whole piece in watered down blue reinker. Once that dried I created a silver mat by inking the edges of a slightly larger piece of cardstock with Versamark and then dipping in Silver embossing powder. Heat it up and voila! Silver border without using a whole piece of Silver Foil.

The rest of the card came together quickly as I cut out my sentiment from the Playful Alphabet dies ( this time I did use Silver Foil – with adhesive sheet on the back to make sticking down the letters a breeze). The tag is from the Tasteful Label Dies cut out of Misty Moonlight. I added the slits for the amazing Glittered Organdy ribbon using the Label Me Fancy Punch. A few Opal Rounds and the card was complete.

I have enjoyed creating with this Sunny Sentiments stamp set all week long. The fonts make these sentiments stand on their own – no images needed. Today’s layout was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketch challenge #510

Hey Birthday Chick!

You may have noticed the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set in the Jan – June Mini (p. 52) and thought Gee that’s fun! You may have even thought it looked familiar – because it is. During Sale-a-bration 2017 a set called Hey Chick was the most popular stamp set, so Stampin’ Up! created this new birthday version. Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set and STAMP CAMP

Today I created a fun, simple card using the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set. This set is not even available yet ( unless you are a demonstrator). In the video I also created a second card using a masking technique. I am running low on Whisper White Cardstock – so I created using Pool Party instead. If you have White cardstock these sweet cones would pop even more. 🙂
